I doubt this was genuinely Carphone Warehouse on the other end. This chap was trying to sell me an iPhone 12 Pro for a price that seemed far too good to be true. I figured it couldn't be a proper deal, especially as the bloke had a thick accent and the environment was all chaotic and loud.

Got a robotic call saying it’s from Microsoft, been ringing me loads the past couple of days. Left a voicemail too, asking me to ring about my account. Surely just a scam!

Said they were from a stockbroker firm but rattled off the firm’s name so quick I couldn’t catch it. I’ve never signed up for anything like that, nor do I own any shares. They did get my last name right though. When I asked how they got my info, they told me they’d send it by email and then just hung up on me.
