It’s definitely a scam, I checked with three and they tried to send us a phone we never asked for. Don’t engage with them at all. They switch numbers a lot too, claiming to have amazing offers and all that.

I keep getting calls from these morons on my mobile and landline, even though I’m signed up to the TPS. The woman claimed it was Carphone Warehouse, but I just blocked the number. Wouldn't touch Carphone Warehouse with a bargepole anyway, scam or no scam.

SCAM: They pretended to be from Phone Warehouse, asking for my phone model but I declined. Then they started pushing mobile deals. When I asked how to see the offer, they said it was only available on the phone and if I agreed, they’d email the contract and just needed my card details for monthly direct debit. Definitely a scam. What gave them away was the poor phone connection and the caller struggling with English. He said his name was David Smith, which seemed off for someone who sounded Indian? Strange choice of name.

Someone said they were from Carphone Warehouse. I listened to their amazing offer, saying they’d cut my bill in half and give me two new phones while I keep my old ones! But when I asked for the contract by email, it came from a dodgy-looking address with @carphonewarehouses[###], which seemed off. It’s easy to overlook the extra ‘s’ at the end of warehouse, but that immediately made me wary.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, asking about my phone and trying to sell some deals. I told them I wasn’t interested, cheers, and they hung up pretty nicely. But the voice sounded really weird and tinny, like it was coming through a bad speaker, and the accent was a bit off too. Definitely not what I’d expect from them, so I’m a bit iffy about it.
