Been getting calls from this number saying they’re Black Pearl. I told them ages ago to stop contacting me. Now they just call and stay silent, which is a bit creepy. Makes me wonder if these scammers have any respect or even decent family. Honestly, this sort of bullying through cold calls should be banned, especially when targeting older folks, and there should be serious consequences for those who keep harassing people like this.

I called back that number and it sounded like a home phone, a lady just said hello and I could hear music playing behind her. If this is some sort of scam, don't share any bank details cause banks would never ask for that info. If you're not sure, just hang up and call your bank directly using the number on your bank statement.

Some bloke rang me saying he was calling from Barclays, but wouldn’t give his name or explain why he was ringing. He kept stressing he wasn’t trying to sell me anything, but then started probing about my bank account and insurance stuff. I told him to jog on, cause Barclays would never phone up like that and ask sketchy questions about my details they should already have. When he kept going, I just ended the call.

This caller never bothered to say who he was at the start, which immediately raised red flags for me. Then he claimed I'd put in an application for a HSBC Credit card - which is nonsense because I’m not into credit cards at all and certainly wouldn’t apply for one. When I told him I hadn’t, he came back with “we’ve got your signature on file” - as if that’s supposed to convince me! Honestly, it's like they think we’re all mugs. I told him where to go, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away.
