Phone number ☎️ 02037436950 👆 is reported as a number mainly used by Virgin Media's retention and customer relations teams, frequently contacting customers who have recently cancelled or changed their broadband packages. Callers often ask security questions to verify identity, which some recipients find intrusive and suspicious. Reports mention numerous daily calls, silent rings, abruptly ended calls, and unexplained voicemails containing background chatter or breathing sounds, causing frustration and annoyance. While some users successfully received better offers through these calls, many experienced poor customer service and aggressive retention tactics, leading to blocked numbers and a negative perception of the company. New visitors should be cautious answering and verify callers independently but be aware it is unlikely to be a scam if related to recent Virgin Media account activity.

Judging by the other posts, I’m guessing this might be Virgin Media. I only just ended my broadband contract with them.

iPhone’s call blocker sorted it out for me so I didn’t need to answer. They rang, got blocked, and then just gave up.

They ring me loads, and every time I answer, they just cut off. I only switched from Virgin Media not long ago, so maybe it's their retention squad? If that’s the case, it’s a pretty odd way to try and keep a customer. Feels like they just want proof they called without dealing with a proper chat. Honestly, Virgin Media never seems to care much about customers - my experience was the same when I left.

I keep getting calls from this number, when I answer they just cut off. I only just cancelled my Virgin Media contract, so I reckon it’s their retention crew. If that’s the case, it’s a really odd way to try and keep me on board. Feels like they’re just ticking boxes to prove they tried calling me without actually wanting to talk. Honestly, Virgin Media’s approach to customers has never impressed me.

My broadband with Virgin Media suddenly got way more expensive, so I decided to move to EE. They said they’d take care of the switch for me. Since then, I’ve had loads of calls from this number but didn’t pick up any of them. Once my EE hub is set up, I’ll go ahead and block the number. Luckily, EE are even paying my early exit fee with Virgin, which is a bonus.

Be careful! I just stopped my voicemail recently and since then I've been getting loads of calls from them. It’s a bit scary but I’m not really sure what they want.

Like a few others mentioned, these calls are from Virgin Media. I actually ended my contract with them since they couldn't beat the deals I found elsewhere, even when I gave them a shot. What really annoyed me was when they tried to bill me £15.88 for ending the contract early, which felt unfair. I switched to a new provider right on the last day of my contract, and after chatting live with three different agents for over an hour, they finally dropped that charge. Honestly, their customer support was pretty rubbish throughout the whole thing.

Been with Virgin Media since back when it was ntl:Telewest, but they've been ringing non stop lately. Tried to see if they could give me a better deal, but nothing good came up. So I decided to switch to another company. Had to block their number because of all the calls!

For the past week, Virgin Media have been blowing up my phone non-stop ever since I switched providers. I spoke to three separate reps and each one gave me a different, and tbh higher, renewal offer than I’m currently paying. Once I finally made the move, I get an email almost immediately saying if I stayed, it would actually have been £10 less than what I’m on now. Proper mess this time, really frustrating!

In 2025, my basic broadband bill suddenly shot up to £100 a month, triple what I used to pay! I tried getting in touch but got nowhere. Weirdly, after I switched providers, I started getting calls from them daily. Meanwhile, Vodafone offers me the same service for just £20 a month - makes no sense!

Ever since I switched my broadband to another company, Virgin Media have been ringing me every single day. I answered one of their calls and they actually asked for me by name and even wanted the first letter of my memorable word, so it does seem like it’s genuinely Virgin Media. Since they can't match the deal I've got now, I’ve blocked their number, but they still managed to leave me a voicemail that lasted about three minutes and was just them mumbling in the background! Proper irritation! 😠

For the past week or so, Virgin Media have been blowing up my phone non-stop even though I cancelled my contract about 10 days back. I called them up to check if they could give me a better deal to stay on, but I was honest and said I'd likely be leaving. They couldn’t come up with any better offers, so I’m not wasting my time chatting with them anymore. Had been with them for like 3 years, but that clearly didn’t count for anything.

Looks like Virgin Media is the one ringing a lot, judging by what people are saying. After being with them for a decade, I switched from their broadband to another provider offering full fibre at a cheaper rate. Trust me, trying to haggle with Virgin is pointless - they just hike up the fees a couple months later, leaving you tied into another contract.

I had a scheduled swap with Virgin Media y’day, and when they rang me, they started throwing security questions left and right. I answered a couple and then told them that was enough and asked what they actually wanted. They then said I failed the security checks, which was a bit laughable since they were the ones who called me. I wasn’t comfortable sharing too much personal info like that and made it clear. Then she just hung up on me! I rang back and told them it’s their attitude that’s why I’m switching providers - really rude behaviour.

So, I began trying to cancel my Virgin Media broadband yesterday, and now this number has called me twice today. The first call I missed, but they left a voicemail that was just some static and background sounds, no actual message, lasting a few minutes. Why on earth would I ring them back? I chatted to one of their agents a few days back, and even after turning down a couple of deals, the final offer they made was still less appealing than what they give new customers. I've made up my mind for good.

Like a few others, I recently chose not to renew my Virgin Media deal. I had to talk to at least five different people, all pushing me to stay with them. I reckon I said “I just want to cancel my contract” about a dozen times before they finally transferred me to the cancellations team, who then also tried their best to change my mind. I keep getting calls from this number on both my landline and mobile. They often just ring for about 20 seconds before hanging up. It's really annoying! The number is 020 3743 6950.

I tried to cancel my Virgin Media after my contract finished, but it was a nightmare. They kept passing me from one agent to another for over two hours, all trying to convince me to stay. I even hung up a few times, but they kept calling back. In the end, I agreed to renew at the same price because I was just so drained. Now they keep calling me every single day, probably pushing upgrades or deals. I just ignore all their calls. Honestly, if you’re not already with Virgin, don’t bother picking up.

Had a call with no one on the other end, likely just another junk call.

I'm thoroughly fed up with these incessant calls that just leave me in silence!

Received a call from this number on my mobile which I unfortunately couldn't pick up. The call came in at precisely 15:57 on the 6th of November, 2023.

I guessed it might be Virgin since i'm a customer and just switched my plan, but when i picked up today all I could hear was some kinda background noise like from a call centre then the call dropped. Blocked the number straight away now.

Sounds like it might be Virgin Media like a few others have mentioned. I just ended a service with them not long ago, so they're probably ringing to check if I need anything else or might change my mind.

A guy with a Scottish voice called me claiming to be from Virgin, saying I'd switched my package and asked if I had a moment to chat. I just replied "Why?" and they hung up straight away.

I got a call from this number on my phone, so I decided to screen it. I told whoever was on the line that the call was being screened and asked them to say who they were and why they were calling. Right after that, they just hung up. If it was something genuine and important, they would’ve answered properly.

Got a voicemail from them… but all I heard was a bunch of people chatting in the background, sounded just like a call centre. Total SCAM!

SCAM ALERT… as soon as you pick up they just cut the call straight away.

They've rung me a couple of times already, and every time I answer, they just hang up. When I tried calling back, it went straight to voicemail saying to hold on, the telecom team will be with me soon.

Virgin keep harassing me nonstop just because I cancelled, total spam fest.

Got a cold call I didn’t pick up, so I phoned them back. It switched straight to some pre-recorded American saying a telecom agent would be with me soon, then the call just cut off suddenly. Not a single clue what the call was about or who was calling. Blocked the number and reported it as spam right away.

Just got a call from Virgin Media, I only switched over a few days back and now they’re ringing me saying they’ve got a better offer than the one I just took. Strange!

Got a call today from this number, the woman said she was from Virgin Media. I’d just renewed my broadband-only plan a few days back. She offered me a nicer deal during the call and I decided to go for it. I was switched over in less than 10 minutes. Usually, I don’t take these numbers-only calls, but guess we both got lucky this time.

Got a call earlier today and just about 10 minutes ago I declined it twice, then thought I’d look up the number on Google. When I saw it was Virgin, I rang back since I’d recently updated my contract. I got connected in under a minute and the person on the line offered me a cheaper deal with better benefits. I accepted straight away and everything got sorted pretty quickly. The whole call lasted maybe 5 minutes. I’m not usually one to write such a detailed review but I honestly think this was top-notch service, which doesn’t happen everyday.

The phone keeps ringing but no one talks when I pick up. Lately I’ve been sorting things with Virgin like some said, those silent calls are really annoying.

If this is really Virgin, how come they’ve been ringing me every day even after I agreed to a new contract? I had a couple days of calls and emails with them, and I’ve just signed up for 18 months more - so I don’t believe this is Virgin at all. Sounds like a cold caller to me. I won’t be taking these kinds of calls on my landline anymore, since I’ve cancelled that part of my old package and now only have broadband with Virgin.

A woman from Virgin Media called me yesterday morning to pitch a new deal. She had a really polite and clear way of explaining everything, and the offer sounded brilliant for Virgin Media standards. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for better. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Virgin kept saying it ain’t their problem. I reckon people blaming them might just be trying to cover up the scam themselves.

Judging by what folks have said, I reckon it might be Virgin Media checking on why I switched, probably cos I’m going for a cheaper fibre provider now.
