Got a call out of the blue from some so-called independent review team about life insurance. Wasn't expecting it and felt a bit iffy as they didn't really explain who they were properly. Seemed quite pushy too, not really something I asked for. Definitely unsolicited and a bit annoying!

so this private number rings me up first, some bloke claiming to be from the office of fair trading saying i owe money. when that didn’t work, they tried again later with a call from this number, then sent a text promising to wipe out 80% of my debt. i replied jokingly, saying i could help clear 80% of their legs instead.

I got a call from someone trying to sell a psychic reading, sounded like proper telemarketing. When I asked a bit more about it, she was really polite about everything and kept saying sorry for disturbing me. Not pushy or rude at all, just trying to do her job.

I answered the phone when it rang on my cell, the number showed up but there was nothing on the other end. No background noise, no one talking or even a beep, just silence and then it suddenly ended.

A young bloke rang me, said his name was Tom Yates and that he was from EE. He claimed he could sort out a better deal for my EE mobile plan. He asked loads about my work as a freelance painter, what phone I use, all that. When I tried to find out what the actual deal was, he just asked how much I pay now and said it sounded alright for now, so he wouldn’t push it any further. He was quite polite and chatty but kept going over the same questions, which made me a bit wary.
