This has got to be a scam, they keep ringing me (which I always ignore) and I’m based in Hungary. From what I’ve seen in other comments, if they claim to be from an electricity company, why on earth would they be contacting me here in Hungary... Also, I’d really recommend everyone to check out HaveIBeenPWNed to see if their info has been leaked. I heard recently Epik, the domain and hosting company, suffered a major hack and a ton of data got exposed... be careful out there!

I picked up the phone and a lady said she was calling from Southern Electric, trying to get me to agree to a smart meter install. She mentioned that someone had recently checked my meter and suggested I get one, but no one’s ever come anywhere near my meter as I manage everything online. She was quite friendly, especially after I mentioned I was unwell with cancer and that I’d just check the info about smart meters online myself. Honestly, I don't trust the call one bit. Just a heads up, be careful with calls like this.
