02037399260 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02037399260 👆 is reported as a suspicious and potentially fraudulent number linked to unsolicited calls targeting individuals who recently arrived in the UK and submitted Passenger Locator Forms. Callers claim to be from UK government or NHS Track and Trace teams, often requesting basic personal details like year of birth and self-isolation status. However, many callers hang up abruptly or disconnect when answered, and calling back frequently results in a German-language voicemail unrelated to UK health services. There is widespread concern about possible data breaches involving traveller information. Official NHS communications reportedly use different numbers beginning with 0300. Users are advised to remain cautious, avoid sharing sensitive information, and verify all calls through official government channels such as the NHS helpline before responding.

The caller spoke okay English but sounded African and couldn’t prove they were from NHS Track & Trace. When I tried ringing the number back, it just went to a voicemail in German.

Got a missed call from them. Definitely a scam. They rang the number I gave on my passenger locator form. How on earth did they get hold of that? Feels like some kinda data leak.

I'd say everyone should get in touch with track and trace on 119. It looks like there’s a proper data leak going on and it really should be reported so they actually take action. Right now they’re just pretending nothing’s wrong. If passenger locator forms are being compromised, the public deserves to be informed about it.

This number rang my wife’s overseas mobile, the one she gave on her passenger locator form. She arrived in the UK from an amber list country just yesterday. She couldn’t answer at the time. I rang the number back from my UK phone and, like others said, it gave a message in German. I contacted track and trace to report it and asked how they even got her number from the locator form, but they didn’t have an answer. They did say official Track and Trace calls always start with 0300. It’s quite concerning how the locator form info is being shared and who might be accessing it.

This number kept ringing me several times, and when I rang back, I got a recorded message saying: "Hello and welcome to Abbott Diabetes Care. To help improve our service, calls might be recorded for training and quality. Please press 1 to agree, or press 2 if you don't want the call recorded." I also phoned 119 to check if the number was genuine, and they told me that the NHS only uses 0300 0135 000 for calls, and any texts claiming to be from the NHS are probably scams.

Got a missed call from them, when I rang back it just buzzed off, no voicemail either (something about diabetes care). They called a number I only put on my Passenger Locator Form - how did they manage to get hold of it?

Got a missed call from +44 20 3739 9260. When I rang back, it went straight to some German voicemail. Felt a bit dodgy, so I searched the number and ended up on this site. Really worryin how they might be getting hold of info from a passenger locator form. I reckon older folks could get scammed pretty easy by this kind of thing.

They claimed to be from the U.K. government Track and Trace, saying they had already called me twice before and this was my last warning. They mentioned they’d send a text message, but I never got anything, which I reckon is to make you call them back. I've been getting calls around twice daily from +44 (0)20 3739 9260 ever since I landed in the UK from Spain. They keep asking if I'm aware I need to self-isolate, then go on to ask for my birth year and if I've booked a Test To Release. They ring the number I gave on my passenger locator form. The calls are odd because they ring once and then hang up almost immediately, so I can only answer if I'm close to my phone and not doing anything else. When I try calling back, like others have mentioned, I end up reaching a German woman's voicemail.

Got two calls from this number, about a day apart, starting exactly a day after I got back to the UK. They kept ringing my non-UK phone, the one I gave to the NHS track and trace people. I actually live and work overseas. When I picked up, the call just dropped immediately and the voicemail was in German.

This number has been pestering me non-stop, ringing and then cutting off before I could pick up. When I finally managed to answer, a woman on the other end introduced herself as part of the Track and Trace team. She somehow had my Travel locator information and inquired whether I was self-isolating. After a brief chat, she thanked me and disconnected. The next day, the same number tried to reach me again, but once more, they hung up before I could respond. It all seems rather dodgy to me; I can't help but suspect it might be a scam. Why would they need to call back for the same questions?

They said they were with Track and Trace, but the official website shows a completely different number. The caller sounded like a foreign lady. When I rang back, all I got was a voicemail in German. When I questioned why their number wasn’t on the site and why the message was in German, she got all flustered and hung up really fast.

Received a call purporting to be from track and trace, but the number they used doesn’t match the one on the government’s official site. The caller had a foreign accent, and when I attempted to return the call, I was met with a German voicemail. I inquired about the discrepancy in the phone numbers and the foreign recording, but the woman on the line sounded quite flustered and abruptly hung up. Quite odd, if you ask me!

This number is from the Isolation Support group acting for the UK government. It can be a bit frustrating, but they ring folks who are isolating to offer daily help and check if they're following the isolation rules.

Speaking from experience with this number, it’s definitely a government line. The calls are simply to confirm folks have grasped the travel rules for entering the UK, especially about doing your required PCR tests on day 2 and day 8. They don’t ask for any personal info except the year you were born, just to make sure they’re chatting with the right person. As for the German voicemail, honestly I have no clue what that is. You actually can’t ring them back as it’s only meant to make outgoing calls.

This number is definitely dodgy - just like loads of others have said, they asked me for my date of birth, then the usual couple of questions. After that, they wanted to know if I was planning to vote in the local elections. I told them I'm not from the UK, and he just hung up straight away. What does he want with elections anyway, unless he's after more personal details? It's obviously a scam. They kept ringing me for two days, it would ring a few times then they’d just hang up - I never picked up.

I received a call earlier, but unfortunately, I couldn't answer it. When I tried to return the call, all I got was a voicemail recording in German. I gave it another go, and the person on the line quizzed me about whether I was self-isolating, having just come back to the UK. I told them I wasn’t going to engage since I doubted the legitimacy of the number. This seemed to really ruffle their feathers, and they threatened to report that I wasn't cooperating. Honestly, it's left me wondering if this is some sort of scam. On the recommendation of the track and trace crew, I've reached out to my local council for guidance.

Same here, like loads of folks mentioned already. I rang Track and Trace and they told me only 0300 numbers ring you after you fill in a PLF. My number isn’t a UK one though, so I wondered if maybe the government got someone else to call overseas numbers? The lady at Track and Trace said maybe the firm I got my Day 2 and Day 8 test kits from might be using that number. I got in touch with them and they said no way. I’ve now reported that number to Action Fraud just in case.

They rang me today and asked for my full name and birth year. I gave it to them. The bloke said he was from the government, all the usual stuff you lot mentioned here, but I’m getting a bit wary too. One thing none of you mentioned though: he asked if I was willing to keep self-isolating for another ten days. Like, if I agreed to extend the quarantine.

They rang me up and asked for me using my first name but didn’t seem to be able to hear me properly and then just dropped the call. I tried ringing back in case it was a follow-up about my isolation, but got a German voicemail instead. Got a call earlier today. Just landed in the UK a few days back. From what I've heard, they might call about self-isolation, but when I phoned back, it was the same as others have reported, some message in German. This call felt pretty genuine, they asked my birth year and if I’m currently self isolating. They must be pulling my info from some locator form or something. Oddly, they asked if I could speak English but the person calling had a really strong African or French accent, which made it tricky to follow what they were saying.

My missus missed a call earlier. When I rang back, the voicemail was all in German. She did just complete a travel form not long ago. Could be legit, but it smells fishy. She's heading from Poland to the UK, so why would the message be in German? What’s really making me nervous is hearing that loads of folks who submitted the same form reckon their info might’ve leaked to dodgy people.

They keep ringing me but I’m actually residing in a different country.

This guy said he works for the NHS and his name was Ewan. He told me he had my name and number from some passenger locator form. He asked for my birth year as well. I was kinda curious why he was calling so I asked. He said it was about self-isolation and told me to check the NHS website for details, but he didn’t seem very sure about the site himself. Then I saw these comments and decided to just end the call.

I received a call purporting to be from a government body, inquiring about my self-isolation since arriving in the UK. They seemed keen to confirm that I was adhering to the regulations surrounding self-isolating and the necessary testing protocols. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I just filled out the plf recently, and ever since then, I've been getting calls from this number nearly every day. I never pick up, but after seeing the comments here, I'll be blocking them for sure.

This seems to be a scam. I'd advise against picking up the phone.

Today is my first day in self isolation after travelling back from abroad. I got a voicemail from them saying they wanted to check up on me, but my phone never actually rang. I have no missed calls, just that voicemail. When I tried calling them back, I heard some German automated message. Bit strange.

This number kept ringing but I couldn't get to it, so I decided to ring back. Weirdly, I ended up on some odd voicemail. I've only just got back from abroad, and I'm a bit uneasy thinking maybe they've got hold of my address from the passenger locator form I filled out online.

I received a call purporting to be from my energy provider regarding a smart meter installation. They had my name right and even identified my energy company accurately. When I inquired further, they claimed to be phoning from the Philippines. Honestly, given my energy supplier’s relentless attempts to get me to opt for a smart meter, I wouldn’t doubt their claim!

They somehow knew my wife’s name and asked a weird question about electricity. My wife, who’s Asian, couldn’t really follow what the lady was saying and just hung up. I tried ringing back and it went straight to an answerphone in what seemed like Dutch. Definitely a scammer.

Got loads of calls from SSE about switching to one of those smart meters. Thing is, they’re ringing from a number that doesn’t even match SSE’s official contacts. Honestly, seems like a bit of a mess or dodgy line, so I just ignored them. Put it down as harassment because I’ve never had a good experience with SSE when it comes to deals or anything.

Total scam, don’t trust this number!

I’m in a bit of a quandary over whether that call was on the up and up or a complete con. The chap on the line seemed to have my surname and date of birth down pat, which was a tad unsettling. He inquired about my recent move to the UK and whether I was in self-isolation at the moment. Oddly enough, he didn’t probe into how I was feeling or anything of that sort. He had this impeccable British accent, was rather courteous, and the entire conversation felt somewhat genuine. When I tried to ring the number back, though, a German voicemail greeted me. Quite a peculiar situation, to say the least!

My daughter got a call from this number which I reckon is linked to info from passenger locator forms. She actually filled one out last Sunday but never arrived in the UK. Since she’s in Turkey now, she didn’t pick up. When I tried calling back, a German voicemail answered.

This number called me about self isolation after I arrived in the UK and it seems genuine. I talked to someone from their team who mentioned they're having some system issues. They only asked for my year of birth, nothing like bank info or anything personal. They also warned me not to trust any other calls asking for more than just confirming your name and year of birth.

Received a call regarding self-isolation rules. They were pretty polite and shared loads about PHE. They wanted my birthday and last name too.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Isolation Assurance Services, which they claimed was a government thing. The lady had a thick Eastern European accent and only wanted to know my birth year. When I asked who I was talking to, she said her name was Alina. Then I asked for her last name, and after like a 5 second weird pause, she said 'Baker' like it was nothing lol.

The phone rang from them a few times a while ago and we got fed up, so answered on the fourth try. The voice on the message was in German when we called back. They said it was someone from the government checking if we were following self isolation rules since we’d just come back from overseas. The questions they asked seemed legit enough, and then they just thanked us and that was it.

Got a voicemail from an American-sounding voice about some energy firm, but it was a bit muddled and got cut off before they finished. Seemed a bit dodgy, like a scam that didn’t quite work out.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the electric company saying they had to come and swap my meter, but I never arranged anything like that. Definitely looks like a scam to me.
