Received a rather dodgy phone call from someone purporting to be from EON energy, insisting that it was imperative we update our energy account within a mere 48 hours. The thing is, we don’t even have an account with them, let alone any commercial electricity dealings! They clearly didn’t possess any of our business details and made a rather feeble attempt to improvise when I pointed that out. Just goes to show how clumsily these scams are executed these days! - caller: Allegedly EON energy
