I doubt his real name was David or that he was actually with O2, but who can say for sure.

Is there a way to trace who hands out these phone numbers? There has to be some kind of database where the owner is registered, maybe BT or another provider? I got a new phone number recently, and already within 48 hours it got a call from this suspicious number. They must have some dodgy access to personal info that shouldn't be shared. This is proper illegal harassment. I want to find out exactly who this belongs to. I’m pretty sure these pest callers monitor these websites too. I told them I’d get a lawyer involved if they didn’t stop ringing me, but as soon as I said that, the bloke just hung up. They kept calling me about PPI and wouldn’t stop until I answered and told them off.
