I asked them to prove it by confirming my name and address. They said they couldn’t since the call was being recorded. I told them if they couldn’t verify who they were then it must be a con, and I was hanging up. As soon as I said that, they ended the call. Number's blocked now.

This guy said he was calling from "o2," though I swear he said something like "How To" at first, looking back at these comments it adds up. He kept telling me my number was chosen by his manager so I could get a 50% discount on my contract. I kept asking, "What contract?" because I don't have one with them. He kept mentioning "Covid 19" as the reason, which made no sense to me. I said, "I don’t have any contract with Covid 19," and then he just hung up on me. Funny times.

Been getting calls from numbers that all seem a bit alike over the last few days, mainly trying to push some "massive" 50% off deal for O2. They also sent a couple of texts - one warning about some security issue and another with a 6-digit code they asked me to repeat back. I fed them a wrong code three times and they still spotted it, which was kinda weird. Not sure why giving the correct code would’ve helped them get in anywhere, especially since I’m not even an O2 customer.

Beware of a scam regarding 50% off your O2 bill! I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2, offering me a remarkable deal of half off my bill. They then started probing for my personal information. I stood my ground, and they promptly hung up on me. Subsequently, I blocked that number. Astonishingly, just a few minutes later, another call came through from a number based in Ireland, and it was the same individual trying to pull the same trick. Take my advice - don’t divulge any of your details; they're definitely not legitimate representatives of O2. It’s a blatant scam, without a doubt. If they can't verify your identity, you’re on the receiving end of a cold call. Never, under any circumstances, should you share your personal information with them!

So, I got a call from the 02 promotions team saying they were going to send me a couple of texts about some special discount offer. I told them to stop and asked to be taken off their call list because the number flagged up as possible scam. The woman on the phone said she could see all my details and insisted the call was legit from 02. But I don’t get why she even needed to ring me just to say she’d text me twice? I told her if 02 wants to share info, they should email me or use the app, and I definitely don’t want any texts from her or her team.

I’ve got a strong suspicion that this is a dodgy operation. The caller claims to be from O2, prying into security details which I find rather suspicious. I took the liberty of contacting O2 directly and they confirmed they have no idea what this person is on about regarding a supposed 50% discount off the monthly charges. For what it’s worth, they would never request security codes over the phone. What’s particularly unsettling is that this chap seemed to know an alarming amount about me, even details regarding my bill payments. If I happen to miss their numerous calls, they bombard me relentlessly, ringing five or six times in quick succession - it’s quite harrowing, to be honest. It's worth mentioning that they seem to have a few other numbers from which they reach out, including: +43 2036 978251 and 020 4520 5145.

I got two calls from this number from a bloke with a thick Indian accent that was hard to catch.
