Quite frankly, I haven’t the foggiest idea who they are or what they’re after. I seldom get calls from unknown numbers like this one. I opted not to pick up the first time, but I didn't silence my phone. They rang me back almost immediately, but the display showed a strange format with a + sign, yet lacking the country code for the UK (44). It appeared as +02036973177, to which I once again chose not to respond. My instinct told me it could be some sort of business, since I can't imagine anyone I know possessing a number formatted in that manner. So, I took to the web to search for the number, but aside from a sea of similar complaints like mine, I came up empty handed regarding its origins. Who could this be? I can’t help but suspect it’s a scam, seeing as there’s no trace of this number online.13 yearsHello to Whom It May Concern, I’ve resided at my current address for over 25 years now and keep receiving phone calls intended for a “Jasmine Archer”, someone I can assure you has never graced this household. I can only presume these calls are linked to some dubious PPI scheme or perhaps the work of some unsavoury “ambulance chasing” company. The voices on the line carry a distinct accent from Lancashire or possibly Cheshire, so I reckon that’s where these callers might be operating from. Most often, they tend to ring either around 10 in the morning or during the prime window of 6:30 to 8 in the evening when I seem to be bombarded with unsolicited calls. I’d be most interested to find out if anyone else is experiencing this peculiar nuisance. I’ve no intention of getting embroiled in a debt that isn’t mine, and as such, I’ve had no choice but to activate the “caller display” feature on my landline.
