When I said I wasn’t interested, the guy got really pushy, asking why I’d joined and wanted all my info. Ended up just hanging up. If this is marketing, it’s done very badly because the caller was quite rude and you could hear him chuckling with someone else, which made it obvious it’s a scam.

Totally a scam, no doubt about it. Some bloke with an Indian accent called me pretending to do a ‘survey’. I just made up everything I said. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of calls about things like my Hoover washer, Sony TV and even a Sky box - the problem is, I don’t even have any of those! If this was a real business, surely their number would show up right at the top of a Google search, not hidden away.

Got a ring earlier from someone saying i could get a cheaper 3 year plan to cover my sky gear, saying it would be less than what i currently pay. Thing is, i dont actually have sky protection at all, so straight away it was clear they were trying to pull a fast one. These con artists really ought to be reported to the police for trying to scam folks and fraud.

Dealt with one of these dodgy satellite companies that aren’t FCA regulated. They always try some clever spiel about it being a warranty or a maintenance deal, probably to dodge any proper checks. It's all on their site too, just to trick you into signing up and handing over your cash. The cold calls they make don’t seem to be properly checked either, so they’re free to throw out lines like “affordable lifetime cover, cheaper than Sky” - sounds a bit too good to be true, right? Honestly, steer well clear of these lot. And if you’ve already signed up, don’t wait about - contact your bank and get a chargeback sorted straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier, a woman who said her name was "Pippa", but I messed up on her last name, might've been Harrison or something. She knew my name and said it was regarding my Sky box. When I asked what company she was working for, she just hung up! I rang back and spoke to another lady who said the company was UK Technical & Electrical and claimed they get info from Sky. I told her thanks and asked straight away to take our number off their list, didn’t let them ask for anything else.

Well, yesterday morning my box lost signal completely. I phoned them, and within a couple of hours an engineer showed up, sorted the issue, said the dish needed realigning. Got a ring from 02036954980 a while ago about a maintenance plan for my Sky TV gear. About a year ago, I answered a call from this number and ended up signing a 3-year deal with them. I'd already cancelled my contract with Sky Protect, which, by the way, isn’t actually run by Sky - it’s a separate company called Domestic In General who pay Sky a commission to use their branding. I was paying £9.99 each month before, but then they told me I’m considered low risk now and just have to pay a one-off fee of £100 for the next 3 years. I didn't really need to contact them until last Friday when I lost my signal. The woman I spoke to initially tried to sort things out over the phone but ended up arranging for an engineer to ring me back. The engineer came round this morning, fixed my dish outside, and now everything’s back to normal with my Sky. Seriously, I can’t complain about this company - they’re fast, trustworthy, and affordable! Hopefully this info is useful for someone.

Some woman called claiming to be from the Maintenance team, though she never said from what company. She went on about how my Sky gear hasn’t had a service for a year and said I’m meant to get a refund. She asked if I could share my bank info so she could send it. I told her I already pay Sky by direct debit, so they must have my details. But how would she even know I’m a Sky customer? Seems like a shot in the dark to me.
