I got a call from this number earlier today, they were saying my washing machine cover needed renewing and asked if I'd got a letter they supposedly sent three weeks ago. They offered to extend it for £9.00. When I asked if they could send me another copy since I never got the first one, they wanted me to confirm the first line of my address. I said I’d do that if they gave me the postcode first, but they said no because of data protection. I refused to give my address then, and they just hung up. Really unsettling that they already had my name and home phone number!

someone rang me saying they were from domestic and general insurance, said my washing machine cover was due for renewal. when i asked for proof and more details, they just ended the call. think it's a scam, as soon as i said i don’t have that washing machine insurance, they quickly dropped it.

I got a call from this number saying they were from Domestic and General Insurance. They told me my policy was about to expire and I had to renew it right away. Then they started asking for my credit card info. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call earlier from some bloke trying to sell me washing machine insurance. I was quick to tell him I didn’t have any, so he didn’t even try asking for my bank info. Pretty soon after that, he just ended the call. Honestly, I hope no one’s daft enough to give out their details to these people!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Domestic General, talking about a washing machine I don’t even have. Told them that, and they just hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Domestic General Appliances saying I was entitled to a discount on my washing machine insurance. He asked for my bank sort code and account number, but I didn’t give it to him. When I said no, he just ended the call. Definitely a scam, especially since I’ve never insured my washing machine in the first place.

I got a call about washing machine insurance too. I told them I don't have any, and then they said I'm already paying for it. When I said no, they told me they'd remove me from the plan and just hung up on me. Such a weird call!
