Picking up from what I said before... I get that some of these callers, particularly those with thick South East Asian accents who use names like Tom, Anne or Steve, are likely just doing someone else’s bidding and probably getting paid hardly anything. I can sympathise with them, especially if they're looking after their families back home. Most times, I try to stay polite, and if I’m feeling a bit kind-hearted, I might even tell them they’re really working for scammers.

Just got a call from that number a couple days back. Luckily, I wasn't home, or else they’d have caught some serious language from me. Looking at my phone log, turns out they rang me twice in under 10 seconds! Crazy.

I got a call from these people pretending like I already had some insurance with them. They asked me to hold on while they checked my details, but I quickly realised I was actually insured by another company. Honestly, feels like a scam to me. I can see how folks with memory issues might fall for it. They've rung me a couple of times before too. They call themselves The Appliance Team and the number is 0203 6870745.

Got a call from 02036870745 the other day, my missus picked up and instantly knew it was a scam attempt. She then threw them off by saying something like, "Just to let you know, all calls from 020 numbers are being monitored and recorded by the police fraud unit, carry on with what you were saying." After that, they just hung up. Had me chuckling seeing her grinning like that!

Glad to see they're up and running again after taking some time off. Just go along with what they say, and when they ask for your bank info, tell them you'll fetch it, then simply hang up and carry on with your day, leaving them talking to themselves.

Got a call from someone called Dave about renewing some kind of Kitchen Appliance insurance. He wanted to know if we'd made any claims in the past year. I told him our kitchen was actually being done up during that period, so we didn’t have any appliances to insure at all - we never even signed up for that cover! Before I could argue or ask more questions, Dave just hung up. Definitely going to report this to the TPS.
