I just received a phone call from someone claiming I owed an outstanding bill. After a few tricky questions on my end, it became clear their info was totally off, messed up and unreliable. The caller ended up saying if I didn’t play along, I’d have to pay up anyway. When I asked what details they had and who was driving during the accident, they didn’t answer and suddenly the line went dead.
