Got a call from this number but my phone showed "SMART Potential Fraud" so i just ignored it.

This number called me twice, but nobody picked up on either occasion. At one point, I thought I could hear kids crying faintly in the background. They also tried calling from a similar but not quite complete number, saying they were from AEG servicing and that my contract had just expired today. When I mentioned I'd check my policy because I wasn't sure about it, they quickly hung up on me.

Got a call from 0203860263 claiming I had washing machine insurance with some lot called D&G. I’ve never had anything like that, nor would I. When I called them out on it, they just ended the call straight away. Typical scam really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from D&G about a washing machine warranty running out. They had my folks' old address - one I haven't used in like eight years - and my parents moved away more than five years back. Plus, I never even bought a washing machine from them. It all felt fishy, especially with all that weird noise in the background, and I’m pretty sure it was just a robot on the line. So, I just ended the call.

Like loads of others have said, the call came from DAG and they were using an old address. They tried to sell me a washing machine warranty but couldn’t even say what brand or type my machine was! Totally suspicious.

Got a call from this number earlier, claimed they were from Domestic and General talking about renewing my washing machine insurance. They said if I renewed now I'd get £2 off each month, but then tried to ask for my bank details. Sounded a bit dodgy to me. The number was 0203 682597.

Got a call from someone using my old last name, so their info must be well out of date! They said they were from Dag and claimed to sort out breakdown cover for my washing machine. When I said I don’t have that, they just cut off the call. Definitely felt like a scam!

Got a call on my phone from someone claiming to be Domestic & General, telling me my washing machine cover had dropped 25% and to update my direct debit details. They wanted my debit card number and sort code, but I lied and said I didn’t have it to hand. Then they asked if they could ring back tomorrow, I just said yes to get rid of them and have a chance to look into the number. After reading the reviews here, it’s obvious it’s a scam. I’ve blocked the number now. If it was genuinely D&G, they’d send me a letter about renewing the policy anyway.

I got a call from someone with a South England accent who was clearly trying to scam me. When I called them out, they just laughed it off like it was a joke. The number was blocked, which tells me the system probably lets these calls through on purpose. I reckon the folks running it don’t really care about scammers in mainland UK, maybe because there’s something shady going on behind the scenes.
