Then he asked which bank I use to give me the sort code, I said TSB but he seemed clueless about it. That was my cue to hang up!

I received a call from Appliance Protect informing me that my kitchen appliance insurance had expired. They offered to renew it for £14.99 a month. The caller was incredibly pushy and insisted on obtaining my bank details, yet seemed baffled when I mentioned TSB! I've since blocked the number and reported the incident.
