There’s this outfit called Listen that’s ringing up to get more donations for the RSPCA, but honestly, after the hassle I’ve had, I’m thinking of giving up on donating completely!

Got a call from a place called "Listen" using this number, saying they were ringing for the RSPCA and asking if I could raise my monthly donation. After the call ended, I did a 1471 and saw this very number pop up. When I called it back, the voicemail confirmed it was "Listen" working with the RSPCA. I then spoke to the RSPCA myself, who told me the call was legit and that Listen is legitimately handling things for them.

We get calls pretty much every day from these lot asking for my missus. Whenever I tell them she’s out at work, they ring back again later. Even though she’s told them she’s already happy with the donations she’s giving, they still keep hassling us for more. Because of that, she decided to stop donating altogether. But they haven’t stopped calling! Honestly, if the RSPCA hadn’t given our number out to these people who just won’t leave us alone, they’d still be getting money from us each month. Now? Not a penny. Their site claims they're all about honesty and making every call a positive experience. Honestly, that couldn't be further from my experience. Whenever I answer, all I get is a robotic voice saying something like, "Thanks for waiting; connecting you to an operator," then it just goes dead with a dial tone. Not very satisfying, if you ask me. I've gone ahead and blocked their number now.
