Some company called Broadband Solutions said they were phoning for Curry’s or something. It was a rubbish voicemail, I caught only that bit, then chucked the message away before it even ended. Total waste of time.

Just a little while back they rang me, twice back-to-back within a few minutes. Missed the first one, but on the second I answered and stayed silent, then they hung up. While I was writing this, they called once more. I picked up, waited 15 seconds with no response, told them off and blocked the number. So annoying!

Someone rang me saying they were from Legal & General wanting me to get a free upgrade on my life insurance. Then they passed me on to Pinnacle, who then told me it actually wasn’t complimentary. Didn’t seem right to me.

I just got an email claiming to be from NatWest saying my debit card’s been put on hold due to a dodgy payment of £267.99 to Amazon UK. It told me to ring their Fraud Department straight away on 0203 667 9558 if I hadn’t authorised it. It also warned that if I didn’t reply by 8pm UK time, my account would be blocked to stop any more payments. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Received a rather curious call today from someone claiming to be with the Three network. They seemed quite keen to inform me of how fortunate I was, saying that for a monthly fee of £12, I would receive unlimited calls along with some sort of bonus towards a new phone. Quite the intriguing offer, I must say!

This number has rung me over 4 times now. I let it ring out to my voicemail, and each time there's an automated message about broadband stuff. Twice they mentioned checking your broadband deal to make sure it's the right one, and the other two times, they just said to review it to confirm you’re getting the fastest speed available near you - then they just disconnect. After all this, I’ve put a block on the number.
