Got a call from some bloke named Alan on 020 365 70787. He didn’t say who he was right off the bat, just went straight to asking for our MD. When I told him the MD was tied up, that’s when he finally said his name. Bit rude, if you ask me.

I just stayed quiet when they rang and they ended up hanging up. Happens loads on my Virgin Media line. If I don't recognise the number, I usually just keep mum. They always seem to give up and disconnect.

Got a call from some unknown number really early, like 6 in the morning. Then they tried again a few hours later but no one picked up. Just got another missed call from them. I was pretty annoyed and told them off to stop ringing me!

Calling themselves XLN Telecom, they first phoned me on 19 Feb 2021. I told them to remove my number from their list. However, they buzzed me a few more times on 21 Feb, three times to be exact, without saying a word. When I tried calling back, an automated message identified them and provided an 0808 contact number. Then, they had the cheek to ring me at 1am! I called back but only got a dead line, so I gave them a proper telling off. And guess what? Right now, as I’m writing this, they’ve just called again at 9:36am. Total joke.

I’ve had this guy with a weird accent ring me up three times between yesterday and today (11/12/20). Honestly, it’s quite disturbing, especially for older people. I’ve already reported it to Action Fraud, who pointed me to this website, and I’m planning to get in touch with BT about it too.
