Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Officer Lisa Williams from HM Revenue and Customs. She said there’s a case opened against me and I must ring back straight away or face legal action. Sounded really menacing and pushy.

Got a ring from some automated voice claiming to be ‘Officer Lisa Williams’ from 'HM Revenue and Customs'. She said there’s supposedly a case started against me and I have to phone them straight away on 2036427 or I’ll face ‘serious and unwanted legal actions’. The message ended with her saying have a blessed day, which was a bit weird. Felt quite intimidating, yet clearly a scam. If you’re older or in a weak spot, the cold robotic voice and not being able to respond properly would be really unsettling.

Yesterday, my elderly mum got a phone call from this number. It was a recorded message, a woman’s voice, and like others have shared, it warned about some supposed unpaid debt and threatened consequences. Mum tried calling the number back but no one answered. What worried me most was that she has BT Call Guardian to block dodgy calls, but it seems it didn’t work this time - she did mention it was quite early and she wasn’t fully awake yet.

Today, 17/11/17, my elderly mum and dad got a phone call from this number. The caller was quite aggressive, saying they owed money to HMRC. My neighbour got the same call as well. It’s clearly a scam, but it’s really upsetting that older people have to deal with this kind of thing.

Got a robo call saying I'm part of a big legal case! I ignored the bit where it told me to ring back. Thankfully, the number was flagged on BT Call Protect.
