Got a call today from some Indian scammer claiming to be with Microsoft. When I gave out the name Mr S.C Ammer, they didn't pick up on me having a bit of fun at first. I keep getting these annoying calls and usually have a bit of fun either messing with them or blasting a whistle right in the phone! But this morning, just before 9, they woke me up and I didn’t have my whistle handy. It was Easter, so I decided to be nice and just stayed silent before hanging up since they said nothing. This scam’s been around forever and honestly, I don’t get how they’re still allowed to keep doing it.

I got a call around 8 in the morning from a man with an Asian accent saying he was from Microsoft. When I started asking questions to check if he was genuine, he got quite angry, so I hung up. He called me again four more times, each time sounding even more annoyed. Finally, when I told him I would report him for harassment, he stopped. These kinds of calls are really needed to be sorted out.

I got a call from someone saying she was Elsa from Microsoft, asking about the computer in my place. She started by checking how many computers I had, then mentioned my name and address like she already knew them. I just let her ramble on for a bit, but when I tried to get a word in she told me to stop shouting. They even had my name and address, which was odd - I know Boris Johnson’s details at Number 10 Downing Street, but that doesn’t mean I trust every caller! I got a call from some guy who sounded Asian, and there was this weird pause before he spoke. Felt like a scam to me, so I just ended the call. Right after, my internet went down for like 5 to 10 minutes. Makes me wonder if they’re trying to mess with my connection or hack me or something? It’s crazy that stuff like this even happens and there’s no way to block it!

I’ve had a call from this number and it’s a total scam. The person said they were from Microsoft, but honestly, they didn’t seem to understand anything about computers at all. Definitely be wary of this, it’s quite clear they’re not legit and could cause trouble.

This was one of those Microsoft scams. When the guy called, I just said I’d already sorted the issue. He asked me how I managed it, and I told him by simply hanging up.

Someone called claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was no issue with our PC. I ended the call but then they phoned back and started shouting at me for hanging up. My partner answered the phone and the caller was really rude, asking for his phone number. When we told him we were going to contact the police, he just hung up.

Got another one of those silent calls today, they just went quiet and hung up after a few seconds. Total scam attempt, and honestly, they’re getting laughably simple to pick out now. Wouldn’t mind if they at least tried to make it entertaining while I played along with their dodgy lines, but nah, just the same old rubbish. So boring and pointless, seriously.

I answered the phone and it took a little while before anyone came through. When a woman finally spoke, she gave no name and then just hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming there was an issue with my PC. I told her I hadn’t touched it for weeks! Then she mentioned someone could be pretending to be me. I just told her to deal with that person and hung up.

Got a call just after 8 in the morning about our computer. We weren’t having any of it, told them off straight away about scam calls at that hour - we’re in our 80s and barely awake that early! These scammers are really a pain for everyone.

Honestly, if you’re gonna ring me up just to try and scam me, the least you could do is say something when I pick up! That way, I can tell you what I really reckon about you dodgy scammers. Seriously, just don’t bother calling.

This bloke kept ringing me back, even after I said I don’t use my computer anymore. He even threatened to switch off my internet! Can you believe he’s calling me again tomorrow???

They called saying my computer was hacked and claimed to be from Microsoft, but I use an Apple. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

About 10 minutes ago this number called me. I caught a guy mumbling for a short moment before they just hung up after I said hello. Pretty sure it was one of those irritating scam calls. Such a pain!

Some woman called me, said her name was Anna and that she was from Microsoft, talking about my computer. I told her I don't even own one, so obviously it was a scam. Then she just yelled "SHUT UP" and slammed the phone down. Watch out for these scammers!

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Microsoft saying my computer was hacked and involved in money laundering. The funny thing is, I only use an Apple! Such an obvious scam.

Got a call just after 8 in the morning about some issue with our computer. We weren’t having any of it, told them straight away we don’t deal with scam calls that early, especially since folks like us in our 80s are only just waking up then. These scammers are really getting out of hand, such a nuisance for everyone.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from Microsoft and my computer had a virus. I said I'd connect her to our IT team and she just ended the call. Total scam!

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, but no one said a word when I picked up. Guess the scammer wasn't prepped or something, 'cause the call just dropped. Seen some other folks say it's that dodgy internet issue scam, which sounds like a proper risk. Glad I didn’t get stuck in that one.

Ended the call super quick, like just a few secs in.
