Had about three calls this week from these lot. Asked the first bloke what kind of machine I own, and he cocked it up. Ended the call straight away. My husband got one yesterday too. Just had another now, and when I asked what machine they were asking about, she said she couldn’t tell me because of the Data Protection Act! Do they honestly think we’re all daft or what???

ApplianceServe is a total rip-off and a really dodgy outfit, I had the misfortune of being employed by them once, and it made me feel terrible and guilty for fooling people. I didn’t stay there much longer because I just couldn’t stomach taking advantage of people who didn’t know what they were getting involved with. I’d much rather earn my money fair and square than trick potential clients. I’ve heard they've now shifted their focus to customers overseas - good luck with that, honestly.

Got a few calls today about our Miele washing machine warranty almost ending. I knew straight away it was a scam since we dont have any warranty at all. Last week my husband spoke to someone claiming to do market research and said our washing machine was a Miele! I told him that wasnt true and just hung up.

Got a call from some guy called Craig saying our washing machine’s warranty had run out. Doesn’t make sense cause our machine’s more than 20 years old and we’re actually swapping it for a Bosch this weekend. He was quite rude and just ended the call when we told him this. Seems like a total scam, stay clear!

Total con. Someone called saying they wanted to "assist with my washing machine warranty". Like others have said, it was followed up by a "survey" from an Indian call centre just the other day.

Had a call earlier today telling me my Hoover washing machine warranty was about to expire, but I cut them off right away saying “That can't be right, I only bought it a couple months ago.” As soon as I said that, the line went dead. I rang the company where I actually got the insurance from and they confirmed it was a scam.

Got a call on 07/04/16 saying my miele washing machine wasn’t covered by warranty anymore. The way he said 'miele' made me suspicious straight away, sounded off and not like he worked there. Plus, how on earth did he know I had that brand? When I checked my warranty, it was still active. He gave me a freephone number to call back, 08004118899, and said his name was Andrew Hall. Honestly, best to just ignore it.

got a phone call from some indian call centre claiming to do a survey and said i wouldnt be contacted again. yeah right! the "survey" is just a front for these con artists who then try to push washing machine warranties on you. when i told them off, they said these surveys always ask if you want to get calls. total rubbish. this is all a scam and they blatantly ignore cold calling rules, dodging tps fines by using foreign call centres. dont fall for it!
