So, I got a call from someone pretending to be EE, offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said they’d email me a form to fill in, but I was super wary about saying yes because I’ve heard about those scams where they record your voice saying yes or no. I told the guy straight up I thought he was trying to scam me and that I wasn’t interested. He started getting a bit aggressive, so I just asked him to send the email instead. Then, suddenly, he just hung up on me! Sounds like a dodgy scammer to me, not impressed at all.

Picked up the phone and a woman was there, already calling me by my name. She said she was from cmt, working with legal and general. I asked what her reason for calling was and she just hung up straight away. Seemed pretty strange, especially since she said she was with L&G. I ended up searching the number online and it didn't link to L&G or any firm called cmt. The only cmt I could find was some building company.

Today I got a call from a lady claiming she was from a government department, asking loads of personal stuff about me and my family. I don’t really know who she was, but it definitely felt like a scam attempt. When I looked up her number online, loads of people said she’d tried the same trick with them before.
