Looks like this number is making the rounds once more... This time they say they're from some outfit called PCPH, talking about finance compensation stuff. I told the bloke I’ve never dealt with any finance and called it straight up a scam. Ended the call with something along the lines of “go create your own business,” or some such. These scam calls are really getting worse these days, almost every other day now...

Emily called me about renewing my boiler warranty. Since my boiler’s already covered by the housing association, I asked her when I actually took the warranty out and which boiler it was for. She seemed a bit confused and told me she’d ring me back. Now the number’s gone straight to blocked.

Got a call today at 11:10 from 02036349737, some bloke saying he was ‘William from Boiler Breakdown’. I said ‘Never heard of you mate, but I’m listening’ - then he just hung up straight away! Definitely feels like a scam. A mate nearby mentioned on Facebook this morning that she’d had a nasty call from a number like this, so I thought I’d check this one out. Proper handy site for stuff like this 😉

Had a lovely English lady this time saying she was from Boiler Breakdown, which caught me a bit off guard. Figured it was one of those usual calls you get around this season. She kept talking about my boiler’s 'warranty' so I played along. After that, she just froze, got quiet and then hung up on me.

I got a call from someone who seemed to know way too much about me, trying to get me to renew my boiler cover - which I don’t even have! She asked for my bank info before she’d send over any forms. When she started calling me “love,” I got really iffy and then she just hung up on me.

Got a call earlier today just like many others here, about a boiler warranty. I told them they sounded like scammers and they didn’t seem too happy about it. I said I’m not stupid enough to fall for that kinda scam, especially as I never give out any details to strangers ringing me up. I only deal with companies I’ve reached out to myself. They did sound pretty convincing though.

Some guy named Matthew rang me up saying my boiler warranty had run out. I told him I had no clue what he meant and he insisted the insurance was registered to me and asked for my sort code to set up a direct debit. I told him it wasn't in my name and even if I did believe him, I'd never hand over that kind of info on a call. I’ve come across this number before but usually they just stay quiet. These lot are dodgy and need to be put to an end.

Got a call from a guy called Neil today. He asked for my name and date of birth. Said I had a boiler service contract coming up and he'd post the papers. Then he asked for my bank details - I said no way, not giving those over. He said they'd cancel the contract, so I told him to go ahead. I checked with the company we're actually with, and they never called us. Plus, the contract isn’t even up yet.

Got a call from a bloke named William claiming to be from Boiler Breakdown, said my warranty was about to expire and I had to renew it. He tried asking if I was over 60 and what my birth date was. 8/4/20 got a call from a woman saying my boiler cover was up for renewal. She asked how old my boiler was - I said about 15 years or so. Then she asked the brand and said it was part of Worcester Bosch apparently. The style of the call seemed exactly like other reports I've read. She ended the call after saying sorry for any mix up. Got a call from 02036349737 at around 3.15pm on 30 July 2020. A bloke with a pretty harsh voice was asking about my boiler insurance renewal. He wanted to know if I was over 60 and stuff. I told him I don't have boiler insurance and my boiler was checked recently. Then he just hung up on me.

Total scam! Got a call about my boiler needing me to give bank details so they could “update” them. I told him I’d rather wait for the official letter to arrive before sharing anything. Guess what? He just ended the call right away. Dodgy as anything.

They rang asking for my wife, I told them she died three years back. Not a single sorry, and wouldn’t say who they were. Very strange.

Got a call yesterday from a woman saying my boiler warranty was expired. Mentioned she got my info from Worcester. I told her straight up it was a scam. Then she gave me to some bloke called Edward. I said the same to him, it’s a scam and I’m blocking their number.

‭020 3634 9737‬ - if you get calls or texts from this number, make sure to report them to 7726 by text. You can also get in touch with Action Fraud or Trading Standards. These dodgy calls keep popping up like cockroaches and are usually from strangers, so I just don’t pick up. It’s no shock seeing others complain about this number. Luckily, you can block numbers on UK landlines, which helps a lot.

They were trying to get my elderly mum's bank info, saying something about an expired boiler warranty. When I asked why they needed bank details for a warranty that I know is still valid, they just hung up.

02036349737 called me on 9th June 2020. The guy asked for my bank sort code and account number, saying he needed it to send some documents so I could get a free boiler check. I told him no way. He kept pressing for my info though. I told him to try again in 5 minutes and to speak with my son instead. When he called back, I just ignored the call.

02036349737 called me again even after I told them my appliance is brand new and still has a 5 year warranty. I refused to share any info since they didn’t even know the brand of my machine. Ended up hanging up on them.

Chanelle called me saying my boiler insurance was about to expire but I was eligible for a special deal. She wanted to check my bank details, which made me suspicious straight away, so I said I wasn’t sure which bank I used (true as well). Then she claimed it was from a major bank where I actually don’t have an account. When I pointed this out, she guessed another bank, which was wrong again. I told her I wasn’t comfortable and was going to hang up, which I did. She quickly rang back and spoke quite forcefully, asking if I really wanted to let my boiler cover run out.

During lockdown we kinda got a break from all the scammers, but looks like they’re waking up again so best be careful. I’ve changed my voicemail to say “scam callers, hang up now” and it actually works - they just hang up straight away.

It was obvious they were after older ladies. The person asked "Mrs xxxx?" then hung up straight away once they figured out I wasn't an elderly woman.

Got a call supposedly from British Gas, said they had to check some direct debit info for a boiler contract. They asked my elderly mum for her bank details, poor lady’s in her 80s and got quite worried. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

Got a call from this number on my landline, and it was some automated woman's voice saying my heating was out of warranty. She told me to call a certain number to delete my info from their system, but I didn’t catch it in time. Total scam, if I get another call and it’s a real person, I’m just gonna tell them I’m living in a tent in my mum’s backyard without a boiler. 😅

My mum, who's in her seventies, got a call from someone pestering her for her bank info. Luckily, she rang the bank straight away and got it all sorted. The call came from London and they were asking if her card was “still active”. Honestly, these folks are really risky and you have to be careful!

This number has rung me several times recently. On two occasions, they tried to tell me my boiler’s warranty was about to expire. When I mentioned last time to a bloke that it wasn’t, he responded all condescending like, saying ‘oh yes dear, it is’. It’s clearly a scam, aimed at older and more vulnerable folks. People who exploit others like this are awful and really ought to be tracked down and charged.

Got a call earlier from an unknown number, I normally just ignore those. The person on the line was really polite at first and asked if I was over 60, which I am. Then they wanted my date of birth and bank info, but I told them no way. They said something about my boiler needing a service soon. The moment I asked who they were, they claimed to be from British Gas and cut me off straight away. Really dodgy and not on.

My missus picked up her phone when this number rang. The person on the other end was going on about renewing some boiler cover and asked for bank details to confirm her age so they could supposedly offer a discount. She didn’t fall for it at all, and the caller just quit the call. We might be older, but we’re no mugs.
