Total ripoff, honestly. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked that number.

After a short wait, a bloke with an Indian accent got on the line, background noisy like some busy call centre. He claimed he was from O2 and asked if I was the number’s owner, trying to pitch me some promo deal to lower my bill. I just told him I wasn’t interested in these cold calls and he ended the call with a quick goodbye.

Got a strange call where no one said a word, then a beep, and after that an automated voice saying 'Goodbye'. Felt really dodgy. If they try charging me for that, I’ll be proper annoyed. I’m going to check with my phone company about what to do next.

I'm fed up with this number keepin' ringin'. I've been tryin' to block it but no luck so far.

I got a call out of the blue, but when I answered there was just silence. When I called back, all I got was some weird beeping and then an automated voice saying 'Goodbye'. Quite strange!

Got a call but didn’t pick up, no voicemail left so just blocked the number straight away.

At 13:46, I got a call from 02036308790 but all was silent. Seems like another annoying scammer trying to bother me!

Just got a call on my missus’s phone, and it was exactly like loads of others have said - one of those dodgy O2 calls about lowering the bill. Proper scam! Feels even worse with everything going on - we’ve just lost my dad recently. The amount of scam calls, texts and emails blowing up both mobiles and landlines is ridiculous. If these con artists are still at it, it’s clear the ICO, TPS, and Action Fraud aren’t doing nearly enough to catch or stop them. And when they finally do step in, the penalties are way too light to make any difference. Bet these clowns think there’s no serious consequences.

If they don’t bother leaving a voicemail, it must not be that important, so I’ve just blocked yet another number. Cheers to whoever rang me though! 👍🏼

My missus’s phone just got the same call loads of folk mentioned - supposed O2 call about cutting down her bill. Total rubbish! Especially now, just after we lost my dad. The amount of dodgy calls, texts and emails blowing up our phones is crazy. If these scammers are still at it, it shows ICO, TPS and Action Fraud aren’t cracking down enough on these muppets. They need to proper clamp down and make punishments tough enough so these scam artists think twice before wasting our time and messing with people.

This number has popped up on my phone more than once now, and my phone even flagged it as POSSIBLE SCAM. Honestly, there’s no reason to answer it. Just a heads up to everyone else - don’t pick up, you’ll just end up confirming you’re there for scammers. Consider yourself warned!

My daughter, who struggles with learning, answered a call from someone who somehow knew my name, even though it's my phone account I pay for.

Someone called claiming to be from O2 wanting to lower my bill, but it was definitely a scam. For one, I don’t even have O2 as my provider. Plus, why would a legit company call you to cut down your bill? The worst part was the terrible, loud music in the background that made it impossible to catch what they were saying. Total rubbish!

Got a call supposedly from O2, but it was a total scam. They claimed I could lower my bill, which is rubbish because O2 never ring you up about that. Actually, they usually try to get you to pay more, not less. Be careful!

I wasn’t sure who was calling me, but the lady claimed I’d been getting scam calls supposedly from Amazon and other places. She said she could send me a free device to block these calls. She even had my name and address, but then kept pushing to find out which bank I used to confirm my identity. I told her that wasn’t necessary if she’s just sending a blocker. Before I could say more, my husband got on the phone and started telling her off for being a scammer, so I hung up. Just a heads up to everyone, watch out for this sort of thing!

They rang up claiming they were upgrading our phone line to include a free call blocker to stop annoying calls - kinda ironic, given the call itself was a pest! Told me they were with a totally different phone company than ours, which was a big red flag. If they’re gonna bother calling, you’d expect them to know who they’re actually speaking to! Definitely a scam in my book.

This number called me just now. It had been blocked for more than a year before this, and back then it was linked to a scam, definitely dodgy stuff. Seems like they reckon it’s fine to start using it again after some time off, but honestly, they’re mistaken.

Received a call claiming to be from 02. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

We usually don't pick up calls from numbers we don't recognise, so it just goes straight to voicemail. If it's something important, they can always leave a message. This number has been ringing daily for the past three days, so I decided to block it now. Not sure who it was.

No idea whos number this was, but the computer kept saying goodbye before hanging up.

Kept ringing non stop, first on my landline which I had blocked, and now it's my mobile that’s getting calls.

I got a call from a bloke asking for me, but he called me by my mother’s first name, which seemed off. The call took a while to connect properly, and then he started trying to fish out some personal info. He claimed he was ringing from the ‘Three’ mobile network.

I got a call about some 5G offers, and out of nowhere, they started talking about iPhones. Quite odd, really.

Loads of scammers out there preying on people who aren’t expecting it. They’ll try all sorts of tricks, just fishing for your bank info and often lie through their teeth to get it.
