I just got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who wanted to talk to me directly by my name! She claimed to be calling from Microsoft, but almost as soon as the conversation started, she ended the call! I'm pretty sure this was a scam attempt. Definitely going to block the number and report it straight away!

Avoid getting involved with these scammers. They sound really convincing, telling you your computer is full of problems. They'll say it’s only £4.99 to fix, but once they have your card info, they attempt to charge loads more. If you refuse to pay, they lock you out and put programmes on your computer to control it remotely. They even go as far as trying to grab all your personal pics and files. Stay clear!

Got a call today from 02036306971 around 2:35pm. The bloke claimed to be from Microsoft and said my PC was spitting out error alerts and he could sort it. Weird thing is, he knew my name, but I don’t have a computer or laptop. He asked if anyone in the house used one. Told him to jog on and hung up. These calls keep coming, and honestly, they’re proper annoying.

I picked up but there was nothing on the other end, just quiet - felt like a scam to me. Honestly, these calls should be shut down and the people behind them should face legal action.

I picked up when this number called me. The bloke claimed he was from the Windows Tech Support team. I told him straight he was having me on, said I’d report him, and then I ended the call.

Some bloke from Windows called me but I told him I didn’t own a computer, so I’m really puzzled how he got hold of my number. I then tried saying the same thing for other gadgets like a laptop, mobile and even a calculator! With the laptop and phone, I kept saying “really? How did you get this number then?” But when I mentioned the calculator, he suddenly got quiet and I snapped at him demanding how on earth he found my number. He just hung up half way through me ranting - made me laugh!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. They wanted me to switch on my PC, but I told them I don’t actually own one. Then they switched it up, saying they were from both Microsoft and Windows. When I pushed back, they admitted their info was incorrect. Curious, I asked what details they had on me, and they said just my name and an old address from around two decades ago. I pointed this out and asked how they managed to get such outdated info. Right after that, they just ended the call.

It's always the same people calling from India or Pakistan (Why is it always them? And yet they hate being stereotyped, seriously). They claim there’s a problem with your computer and offer to sort it out for you. Loads of rubbish like "your machine is sending errors." Please, whatever you do, don’t follow their instructions - it’s nothing but a total scam trying to get into your stuff.

Got a call from an Indian guy claiming to be from Windows. I played along 'cause I could tell he was up to no good. Once I confronted him about trying to scam folks, he just swore at me and ended the call. Seriously, make sure older family members and mates know about this. These scammers will hijack your computer and put in malware or keyloggers to steal your bank info.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from 'Windows'. He told me to press the Windows key and R together. Don’t fall for it! This is a scam and if you go along with it, your computer could get seriously compromised. Best to just hang up and ignore these fake tech support calls.
