I had a call recently from a bloke claiming he was from the TPS. He said that starting tomorrow, I would no longer receive marketing calls - which I found strange as I told him I rarely get any anyway. He gave me the number 02036305475 to call if I wanted to make a complaint. Then he asked for the last 4 digits of my cheque book, which made me hang up straight away! The number that appeared on my phone was 01243881593.

Someone called me and claimed to be from the caller preference service, saying they were just updating my details. Then they asked for the last four numbers on my cheque book, which I refused to give. I quickly ended the call. The number they phoned from was 01485991582.
