Got a call from some Indian bloke claiming to be from Nat West fraud team trying a card scam on me back on 14/03/22. He asked me to "verify" my card's expiry date, then the third set of 4 digits on the card, and even the seven numbers on the back. He swore up and down he wouldn’t take any cash without the account number and sort code, which is complete nonsense. Needless to say, I told him to jog on.

Got a call earlier from some bloke asking about nuisance calls. When I told him he was the one bothering me, he started getting rude. Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who already knew my name and where I live. She claimed she was ringing from some telephone blocking service, said it was due to expire in 2022. Then she asked me for the expiry date on the card I use, said it was to confirm my identity or something. I said I didn’t have that info handy and she said she’d wait while I looked it up. I tried to get on the Telephone Preference Service but still get loads of junk calls. Looks like it doesn't actually work!

The phone kept buzzing but no one left a message. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Seemed really legit at first, but once they asked for my bank info, I just hung up straight away. Then I called my bank to let them know what happened. They asked if I’d had loads of dodgy calls like that and said they might be able to block them. Totally crazy!

This one claimed to be from the TPS, said they would help put an end to nuisance calls. Weirdly, they already knew my postcode and the expiry date on my card. Then they asked for my debit card info! Definitely a scam. Got called by them three times just today!
