Got a call from this number at 11:41 today - a lady saying her name was 'Kate' with a very noticeable South-east Asian accent. She said she was ringing from the 'UK Society' and wanted Mrs Rob to answer some 'lifestyle questions'. Mrs Rob didn’t say much and eventually ‘Kate’ got annoyed and ended the call.

Spoke to an Indian bloke claiming he was from some UK organisation (something like society, not too clear). He said he wanted to ask me questions, but I told him nice and firm that I don’t do phone surveys. He tried to push a bit more, so I repeated myself politely and then he just hung up. Didn’t think he’d be so quick to give up. Pretty obvious it’s some kind of scam to get your info and either sell it or use it for fraud. Just watch out and keep your details to yourself.

0203601945 has been ringing me for about a year now. After loads of calls like this, I got myself a Call Guardian device. Even though I’ve blocked them, they still show up on my call log around five times a week. It’s definitely a scam, but I have no idea how they get hold of people’s numbers. I’ve blocked 27 numbers using Call Blocker, but they keep trying. At least now I don’t get bothered by the actual calls, but they just won’t quit. A guy with an Asian accent said his name was Sam and claimed he was from some "UK society". When I told him I don’t do phone surveys, he got really angry. I told him he was the one who called me and told him to remove me from his list, which just made him even more mad! So I ended the call. He rang straight back just to shout at me! I warned him I’d involve the police since I had his number, then hung up again. Haven't had another call since, but I don’t think that’s the end of it.

Over the last couple weeks, this number has popped up on my missed calls list at least six times. I honestly reckon it's borderline harassment. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my landline completely. Most of the calls we get, about three quarters, are from strangers. And yes, we’re signed up with the TPS.
