Got a call from a London number saying it was a “Home Appliance Lifestyle Survey” for City Park 7 Leeds. The people on the line had clear Indian accents. They kept mentioning how sunny it was in Leeds, but I just checked BBC Weather and there was heavy rain instead. I looked up the company name and it's nowhere to be found on the Companies House register. They already had my name, address and phone number from some database and tried to find out what kind of computer I use and who my ISP is. I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent asking questions about my appliances. When I tried to ask her name, she spoke super quick and I just ended up hanging up. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got two calls from this number and the person seemed to know my name. They said they wanted me to take part in some survey about my household appliances. I’m pretty sure this is a scam. If they already have my name, do they also know where I live? I’m not comfortable sharing any details, so I just ended the call. Just a heads up to be careful.
