Got a call from some bloke speaking not much English telling me I was owed £149.99 back from the TPS. Apparently, I should’ve paid that in January. Got a call from 020 3630 1850, a woman with an Indian accent pretending to be from the Windows support team - yeah right, total scam. I told her straight up I knew it was a con. She tried to insist they had the CLSID of my computer, which is nonsense. I was pretty amazed she kept going even after I told her twice this was a scam. For one, I don't even own a PC (didn’t mention that though). Plus, the CLSID is the same on every Windows machine, it’s nothing unique. The only distinct thing is it’s for Windows, not other systems. Got the call on 16 Nov 2020 at 8.29am.
