6 yearsI just wanted to get into my internet account.6 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to represent Virgin, discussing a problem with my broadband speed. Given that I had experienced some issues lately, it seemed plausible. However, things took a bizarre turn when he insisted on guiding me through some steps on my computer. I went along with it and he directed me to open the Event Viewer. When I mentioned that there were quite a few administrative events listed, he advised me against clicking on them, mentioning that they were related to my router and that doing so could lead to complications. Following that, he provided a bizarre URL that he claimed would fix my broadband woes. At that point, I realised I was being led down a nonsensical path, especially regarding his comments about the Event Viewer and router events. While someone less tech-savvy might have been convinced by his spiel, I decided it was best to end the call. Should I receive another call from this number in the future, I'll be hanging up instantly!Virgin6 yearsI keep getting calls from people pretending my internet will be disconnected soon!
