Phone number ☎️ 02036300351 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or claiming to provide nuisance call blocking services for a fee. Callers, often using a strong Asian accent and genuine personal details, pressure recipients - mainly elderly or vulnerable individuals - to disclose bank or card information, sometimes securing payments. They falsely cite free TPS registration as needing paid upgrades or verification, and use various numbers, frequently linked to a London address, to appear legitimate. Many victims have reported distress, financial loss, and repeated calls despite refusals. Authorities and TPS confirm this is fraudulent activity; genuine TPS services are free and do not request financial details. It is advised to never share banking information, to report suspicious calls to Action Fraud, and to block offending numbers promptly.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the Telephone Preference Service, saying my debit card details were used when I originally signed up, and that these details were my 'reference number'. Absolutely a scam - don't fall for it!

I just finished a call from one of their numbers - turns out they use at least four different ones. These should definitely be blocked.

My mum, who's 60, got a phone call from someone saying they were from Telephone Management Services. It was a bloke with an Asian accent, asking for her debit card info, account number, sort code, and even the 3 digits on the back. He also asked who her bank was, claimed they knew where she lived, and said the money could be picked up by a courier and paid by cheque. Luckily, she didn’t share any of her details!

They asked for the expiry on my credit card first, then tried to get the details for my debit card too, saying they already had the numbers but needed to check it was actually me. I ended up hanging up after that. They called a few more times after, but I just let the last one ring out and didn’t answer again.

This has gotta be some sort of nasty scam. They kept ringing my 82 year old mum, trying to get her card info. Even after she hung up, they kept calling back like three more times. Proper shady.

Got a call from 02036300351, said they were from TPS or M, claiming they could stop scam calls from reaching me. Before going ahead, they insisted I confirm my address, postcode and payment methods. Definitely a con, no way I'd give them any details. Funny thing is, they did have the number correct because they phoned me. Thing is that number belongs to someone who lived here before and sadly passed away years back. Stay clear!

Today my 86 year old mum got a call from some scammer lot pretending to be from TPS, just like what others have said here. She's never handed out her bank info on phone before, but they were so good at convincing her they meant well, she did it this time. We've had to block the cards now, and she's left feeling upset and a bit daft about the whole thing.

I got a call from some bloke saying he was from "Telephone Preference Management" located in Margaret Street, West London. He spoke with a foreign accent and went on about how they stop international Voice over IP calls, but for a charge. He threw in loads of technical terms but wouldn't share any website or legit company info. Seemed fishy to me, definitely felt like a scam.

Hi,
I'm 76 years old and back on 13 March 2017, I sent £21.21 to this number thinking it was for a one-time lifetime service to stop unwanted calls. Just found out from my daughter that it's actually a scam.

Some lady called saying she was with a company called Tps management. She wouldn’t say why she was hiding her number. After a bit of pushing, she finally gave me this number. I told her it’s not a real one and asked her not to bother me again before hanging up.

My elderly dad who’s disabled and hard of hearing was called by this company, and he’s already had enough of annoying calls. Unfortunately, he gave them his bank details without thinking. I had to get in touch with the bank quickly to stop any problems. He’s in a wheelchair too, so it’s all been very upsetting. I’m really angry about this and definitely need to ring BT to have that number blocked.

On 25/04/17, I got a call from a bloke named Charles who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. He asked if I was still getting annoying phone calls. He already knew my name, address and postcode, but then he started asking if my phone bill was paid by direct debit and if my credit or debit card expired in 2018. I didn’t want to give any info and just hung up.

I got a call from a lady saying she was from the Telephone Preference Service. She warned me that if I didn’t confirm my details, I’d suddenly get loads of bogus calls because they’d remove my block. I told her I was still receiving calls, mostly from people like her. When I asked for her phone number to check who she really was, she gave me this number. Then I asked where she was calling from, and she said London - though the number looked way too long for that!

I had something like this happen too, a lady phoned claiming to be from the TPS register wanting to upgrade my plan. She surprisingly knew my full name, address, and postcode, and even mentioned a card that supposedly expired in 2018. I wasn’t happy with it and told her I wouldn’t talk without calling back first, so I asked for a contact number which turned out to be the one listed here. It’s worrying that she might actually have my card info, but I’m also wondering if she was just pretending to have that knowledge to sound convincing?

Just got a call from this number and the bloke sounded like he might be German or something, plus the line was awful with loads of static in the background. He claimed to be calling from the Telephone Preference Service and was 'checking' if I was having troubles with unwanted calls. He even read out my address and said we pay our phone bill by direct debit, then asked me to confirm if my debit card had expired back in 2018. I asked why the TPS, being a free service, would need that sort of info. He said it was just to identify me uniquely and that he wasn’t after any card numbers. When I mentioned he sounded like a phishing scammer, he gave me the address of their ‘organisation’. I quickly looked the number up online and it came up as a scam. Told him I was hanging up and if he called again I’d report him. He was really pushy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he tricks others into handing over their private details.

I just wasted about 8 mins dealing with some supposed TPS caller. He kept rambling about some expiry date or whatever, couldn’t really make head or tail of it. Then he asked if my phone bill was paid - very odd. Threatened that my line would get blocked too. A few days back, these absolute vultures called my mum and somehow talked her into giving her bank details including the sort code. Once the call ended, she quickly realised it was a terrible mistake and informed her bank, who promptly froze her card and took action. Then, they phoned again a couple of days later, getting really aggressive and claiming they were already withdrawing money since she supposedly agreed to it. I tried calling the number myself, but they flat out denied everything. After reading all these reviews, I’ve decided to report them to the police in the hope they can be put to an end - these people are a right menace.

I got a call from someone calling himself 'Charles' claiming to be from TPS. He asked me to verify my name, address, and bank info. He even said he knew my credit card was about to expire and wanted another card to charge for some phone blocking service. I was suspicious and asked for his contact number to ring him back. He gave me 02036300351, but the actual call came from 01607418088. Like others have pointed out, he spoke with a thick Asian accent and was very pushy. When I challenged him about TPS being free and not needing my bank details, he got quite defensive.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who was really pushy, asking straight away for my debit card details. He even seemed to have the sort code handy. When I told him I'd look him up first before giving anything away, he gave me a number and ID Ref 3417 to call back. He claimed I had to verify certain info to keep using TPS SERVICES. When he asked for my bank info, I told him it was supposed to be free, so it shouldn't be necessary. He kept pushing, but I stood my ground. I'm relieved now that I found out this was a con.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called me, said his name was Shane and he knew my address. Claimed to be with TPS and told me one of my cards was about to expire. I found it weird since I don’t have any phone accounts under my name. So, I asked him for his full name and a number to call back on. After that, I just ended the call. Like what others have mentioned, I got a call from someone called 'Suzanne' who claimed my debit card was about to expire and asked for the expiry date. I just guessed a random month and she gave me a phone number, 02036300351, saying she’d connect me through. I told her it was fine, I’d ring them myself (definitely wasn’t going to) but she was really pushy so I just hung up. Then I got another call right after, but I didn’t pick up. This number gave me a ring and they mentioned my sort code and account number, but nothing beyond that. The bloke said his name was Alex Simpson and gave an ID number, 4537, I think. When he said there would be a fee for the service, I told him no thanks and hung up straight away. He called back about ten times, even left some angry messages on my answerphone telling me to pick up, but I just ignored it all.

Yesterday, I got a call from some people pretending to be from a firm with a name very close to TPS. They tricked me into handing over my bank account info, saying it was needed for extra call-blocking services. They mentioned they’d charge £21 and get back to me in about five days. The caller had a strong Asian accent, and I could hear loads of noise like a busy call centre in the background. When I asked them how I could be sure who they really were, a woman put me through to her ‘manager’ who was quite convincing. He gave me a number to ring back, but the original call showed up as 01607418088 on my phone. The dodgy Asian bloke even claimed his name was Mark Wilson, which made me realise straight away I’d been had. I quickly phoned my bank, who told me these scammers can set up a direct debit but thankfully I can cancel it. I’ve also reported the whole thing to the police as fraud. It was honestly quite distressing.

Today (27/02/17) I got a call from this number, with someone saying they were from TPS. They claimed my account had to be upgraded to handle incoming calls from abroad. They even said they already had my bank info and planned to charge me £21.21 as a one-off fee. I told them I thought the service was supposed to be free, but they said the money was for equipment to watch my landline. I reached out to TPS myself, who told me it was a scam and advised me to report it to www.actionfraud.police.uk/ which I’ve now done. Hopefully, these scammers will be found and dealt with properly. Got a ring earlier from a bloke asking if I’d blocked spam calls, then wanted to check my name, address, postcode, and date of birth. After that, he asked if my credit card expiry was this year. I questioned why he needed all that info, since it had nothing to do with blocking calls. He just said it was for security, all official-like. Told him there was no way I’d give out that stuff. My elderly mum and dad have unfortunately fallen prey to these so-called people - I say so-called because what they’re doing is just cruel and inhumane. They claimed my dad had to upgrade after a free year of the TPS service. Being from an old-fashioned, trusting generation, he gave them his card details, bank account number, and sort code without a second thought. I’ve just spent two hours trying to freeze his account so those scammers can't steal any money. I can’t begin to describe how awful it was seeing the stress and shame on my parents’ faces. It’s heartbreaking that anyone would use their skills to prey on vulnerable elderly folks like this. They said they’ll ring me back in five days to reassure me they’ll leave the transaction alone - fingers crossed that actually happens!

These con artists have been operating for ages, yet somehow they're still allowed to rip people off!

I got a call from some so-called telephone preference service trying to check my card info. The woman had a really strong Asian accent and seemed super convincing, even knew lots about me. Honestly, it felt like a total scam, so watch out if you get a ring from this number!

This morning I got a call from this number claiming they were upgrading my nuisance call blocking service. They tried to confirm my identity by asking for my bank details, which I refused since I didn't have my card to hand. Instead, they read out my address, which made me suspicious because they said the phone line was in my name, but it’s actually my husband’s. I kept declining to give any info but the caller was quite pushy, insisting the account number was just to confirm who I am. I asked for his name and phone number but he wouldn’t provide his name, only gave me this number (02036300351). When I searched it later, it showed up as a scam. I’m a bit anxious now as I told him to call back later when my husband is here, but I’m worried he might keep calling. Does anyone know who I should talk to in order to block this number?

This number rang me claiming to be from the TPS, they already knew my address and name but then started asking about my bank card details. I just ended the call right away.

My nan, who's 84, got a call from these people saying the phone blocking we put in place had expired and she needed to cough up £21. They managed to get all her bank info. I’d actually organised that block with Virgin about three years back after my dad got scammed out of quite a bit. Hopefully, this just reminds everyone never to share anything if you get unexpected calls.

Got a call yet again from 02036300351 around 6.47pm, this time some bloke saying his name was Adam and claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. He kept pestering me for my credit card info. I told him I'd already reported these calls to the TPS and called him a bloody scammer. Then, he just hung up on me. I've reported this one as well, and I'd advise anyone else who gets a call like this to do the same.

I don’t understand how this firm managed to call me. The bloke said his name was Daryl, then when I asked for his number he gave me 0203630051. He started asking for an activation code linked to my credit card, mentioning it expires on 17th May. Luckily, I refused and told him I wasn’t comfortable with it. What’s really odd is that I emailed the telephone preference service this morning, so either someone’s leaking info or they’re watching my emails? I'm pretty worried and plan to report this straight away.

Someone called me pretending to be from TPS customer services and threatened to take me off the service if I didn't give them my bank details. This sort of company ought to be taken to court and have all their funds frozen.

Got a call from this number too, my dad answered and the person said they were from the TPS. They kept asking for his bank details, saying it was for some sort of security verification. Fishy as hell!

Today, my dad got a call from 02036300351 and the person on the line said they were from the TPS. They tried to get him to give his bank details, saying it was for some sort of “security verification.” Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

My dad, who’s 80, got tricked by this lot after they said my mum had signed up their phone number - but she died not long ago. He’s already very upset about her passing, and now he’s worried sick his bank info might’ve been grabbed for some service he never asked for. He’s actually on the real TPS list, so this is all just unnecessary hassle.

Got a call claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. The bloke seemed to know a lot about our phone line and even tried asking for my credit card expiry date and direct debit info, which I didn’t give him. He had a strong accent and kept messing up our address, which made me really suspicious. Caller ID just showed ‘withheld’. He was suggesting some sort of monthly fee to block annoying calls. Really worried about how they got hold of so much of our personal info from the phone company.

got a call from 02030641213 claiming to be from some call blocking company, said they needed to verify my info. they asked for my bank details, so I gave them some made-up ones since my account’s shut now and i even mixed up a few digits. they said everything checked out fine. ended up chatting with them for like 30 minutes just to mess about. if they wanna try scamming me, I’m just gonna keep wasting their time. the number they gave me back was 02036300351 if anyone wants to watch out for it.

Got a call from a lady with a strong accent claiming to be from TPS. I wondered if it was about stopping foreign spam calls, especially since my phone showed an unknown location. When I asked, she gave me that number. We ended up talking over each other, like a bit of a challenge, and it finished with her telling me to "get a life". I told her straight up that the Telephone Preference Service is just a scam. Later, a bloke with an accent answered and I asked them to take my number off their records. Bit weird, but there you go.

Got a ring from this number by a bloke named Daryl Brown, who spoke with a strong foreign accent. He said he was from the TPS and needed my payment info for a recent signup. Sounded dodgy to me, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Bet they’ll move on to a different number in no time.

Got a ring from 02036300351 saying my call blocking had run out and I had to pay to renew it. Thing is, this blocking service is free and there was no expiry. They sounded like they knew a fair bit about me, which made me uneasy, and they kept pushing for more info. I informed my bank right away but still keep getting calls from hidden numbers, usually with an Indian accent, saying the system's active and asking for cash. It’s proper annoying and feels dodgy.

Just got a ring from 02036300351 claiming they were TPS, some bloke named Charles or something. He actually knew my name and address, but when he started going on about my credit card expiry date and wanted me to confirm it, i quickly just ended the call. Felt off straight away!

I got a call from someone saying he was Charles and that he was with TPS or something. He actually had my name and address, which freaked me out. Then he started talking about my credit card expiry date and asked me to confirm it, so that’s when I just ended the call.

I got a call from a call centre claiming to be from the telephone preference service. They started by asking for ID, even stuff from my bank card to confirm who I was. Then they told me the service was free, but also mentioned a cost of £21.21 which was confusing. When I kept saying I wasn’t paying anything, they just ended the call - not something I’ve seen happen before.

This morning my wife got a call from some dodgy bloke claiming they were cracking down on nuisance calls (not theirs, obviously!). He wanted info from her cheque book, which she flat out refused to give. He then told her to ring back on this number (James, ext 4116, 0203 6300351) and said he’d call again later. She didn’t answer the next time as it was a withheld number. Later in the day, I was home when the same guy rang again with the same rubbish about stopping nuisance calls. He then asked for the three numbers at the bottom of my cheque book - what cheek! I said I’d just google the number he gave before. When he kept pushing, I calmly told him where to shove it and hung up. Watch out for this scam, it’s proper dodgy!

She got a couple of calls from a bloke who said his name was Austin Jones, speaking with what sounded like an Indian or maybe Pakistani accent. It rang two or three times before she finally picked up to hear him out. He claimed he was there to help stop annoying calls, but at the end he asked for her bank details, saying there’d be a £50 charge to set it all up. Later that same day, she got another call from a woman with a withheld number. The lady said because she was a pensioner, they wouldn’t charge her the usual £30 monthly fee and assured her there’d be no further costs. Honestly, it all sounds really dodgy to me. Thankfully, her family have stepped in, sorted new bank cards and are now managing her affairs to prevent her getting scammed again. But it makes you wonder how many others fall for this kind of rubbish.

I'm a bit iffy about this number. They rang up a mate of mine and said they could put an end to her annoying spam calls if she handed over £50. She went ahead and paid, but her relatives reckon it's dodgy. Any info on this would be great. Her family quickly cancelled her card so they can't take any more money from it.
