Update: Turns out it was the Telephone Blocking Service rather than TPS. This is an outfit that operates outside of regulations and claims to stop those annoying cold calls. However, it's worth noting that telemarketers are legally bound to steer clear of numbers listed with TPS, but there’s no obligation for them to avoid numbers registered with any other service. Quite the loophole, isn’t it?
