Had a call from 02036084188, the bloke said his name was George and he was from housing benefit. I’m not even from London, so that area code was a big red flag. He couldn’t even get my name right. Honestly, I’ll never trust calls from numbers like this again.

Got a call about replacing a boiler, but they asked for someone who’s not me. I didn’t say my name or any info, and when I asked which company they represented, they didn’t want to say and then asked why I cared. Pretty obvious it was a scam, and they just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone named James and a woman whose name I didn’t catch. They said they worked in sales for Carphone Warehouse and were trying to sell me an upgrade to an iPhone 13. So this guy Derrick Smith rang me thrice but on three separate numbers, and every time I tried ringing back, the lines were dead. He said he was from Carphone Warehouse’s promo squad. The offer was to switch to the new iPhone 2022 SE plus a Series 6 watch and keep my contract cheaper, but they wanted all my bank info - how long I’ve banked there, account and sort code, even the card number. It all felt a bit dodgy, honestly. I’m thinking I’ll just pop into a shop instead when I upgrade. This call gave me the creeps.

I've been dealing with a right pickle lately! I sent back three parcels because they were all wrong, and now I've noticed some cash has mysteriously vanished from my account. It turns out the callers claimed to be from EE, yet the money that's missing has allegedly been transferred to Vodafone. The chap at EE wasn't much help-can’t really fault him, I imagine he’s inundated with similar issues. It’s incredibly frustrating to think about these scammers taking advantage of hard-working folks like us who don’t have the luxury of time to monitor phone shenanigans all day long. To make matters worse, my account is now in the red, and I've got little ones relying on me to keep food on the table. This is just unacceptable! 😩💔

Got a call from Anna in Ballymena, she was saying I could get £22 a month on the Three network and claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. Then Derrick from Taunton got in touch too. They tried sending me a Google form, but I wasn’t keen on giving my bank details. Feels dodgy to me, watch out - looks like a scam.

I got a call from a lady named Anna, she said I was eligible for an upgrade on my contract. She promised me an iPhone 13 for just £30 a month 😡😡😡 and I honestly thought it was legit. I even gave her my card info. Luckily, I spotted the dodgy thing pretty quick and cancelled my card straight away. Just a heads up, watch out for scams like this!

A bloke rang saying he was from Three, but when I told him I wasn't with them, he tried to find out who my provider was. Once I wouldn't tell him and asked why he was calling, he just dropped the call. Definitely sounded like a scam or phishing attempt.
