Got a call around 11pm yesterday evening. I was trying to book a hotel but didn’t go through with it 'cause the discount code wouldn’t work. Definitely won’t be dealing with this company again.

Amoma was kinda like what others have said - I found a hotel with a good price, but then saw the “free cancellation” had a £40 fee. After realising that, I quickly bailed out. Got an email almost straight away saying it’s not too late to book, then got a phone call from a number I didn’t know, so I didn’t pick up. On the bright side, I copied the link for the cheaper hotel and managed to book on [###], saving myself about £29.90 on a booking I had already made.

Just like everyone else, it says 'free cancellation' but then they want £40 to cancel, so I cancelled my booking. They rang me back within minutes which I don't think they should do cos of GDPR laws. I only put my info in, I never checked any boxes or actually sent my details to them!

Hey! Same here, I hadn’t actually reserved the hotel yet (was just getting ready to), and they called me saying I could get a free upgrade. I politely said no thanks, and after chatting to the suspicious guy on the line, I decided not to book with them at all. Don’t even know how they got my number since I never gave it out anywhere!

While I was still trying to make the booking and hadn’t even reached the payment stage, they started ringing me up. I never agreed to get calls from them. I won’t be booking through them - I’d rather find someone else, even if they’re cheaper. I don’t appreciate being hassled like that. When I picked up, they just cut the call without even saying a word.

AMOMA[###] Honestly, this has got to be the worst travel agency I’ve ever dealt with, and believe me, I travel loads for work. I tried to book a hotel through their site but kept getting errors. Then they rang me and sent an email offering the same hotel but cheaper. I told them to stop messing me about and went ahead and booked somewhere else. Seriously, STAY AWAY! Far too shady for my liking!!!

I was still in the middle of making a reservation when i got a call, but sadly my wife answered it and the surprise for christmas got ruined. when she said "think you might have given the surprise away" the caller just hung up. i looked up the number and it was linked to amoma. i never actually went through with the booking because the credit card fee was way too high. this kind of behaviour is totally not ok and i'm really annoyed that my wife now knows what her christmas gift is. avoid these people at all costs.

amoma.scam is spot on - seems the price i booked got snatched up right when i was booking, but they were “nice” enough to offer me a different room, of course at a much higher cost. really shouldn’t be allowed.
