Hey, just wanted to jump in for the person who mentioned getting a text on the evening of 01/08/20. That number is actually linked to a psychic hotline that sends out subscription messages. If you've ever signed up with Easy-Psychics[###], that'd explain the text. They're based outta Barcelona but operate worldwide. I've used them myself but honestly, it’s hard to tell if it’s dodgy since they’re overseas. They’re open round the clock and charge about £1 for a 10-minute session for first-timers. They even have a Facebook page if you want to check. Hope this clears things up a bit!

Hey, for anyone getting dodgy calls I always just tell my mobile provider like EE about the number. I've also had loads of annoying calls on my landline, and I think there was one pretending to be from HM Revenue too. When you give your network the number that called or sent you a text, they usually ask you to forward it to them by text. I reckon they handle reporting it at their end because other than that, all you can really do is block or just ignore them.

I had a rather unsettling experience with a chap on the phone the other day. He was overly pushy and spoke at breakneck speed, and from his accent, I gathered he might be from Pakistan or India. The unsettling part was that he already had my full name, address, and phone number, all spot on. He started firing off questions, but I simply refused to engage. This seemed to irritate him quite a bit. When I probed him on where he’d sourced my information, he claimed it was from a previous conversation - which frankly, I couldn't recall at all. I’m quite cautious with my details and only share them when I've verified the caller’s information. I reminded him that I’m registered on the Telephone Preference Service list, and, just like that, he hung up in a right huff. Quite the experience!

I received a call earlier claiming to be from South East Asia, which immediately raised my suspicions, so I hung up. Got a call earlier from an Asian guy who asked if I was getting annoying calls and said he could help stop them. Weirdly, he knew my exact address and postcode. He then asked for my bank account number to "check it matched his records." When I asked what number he had, he refused to say. I told him he was just a pest and told him to buzz off. He immediately cut the call. Seriously, don’t hand over your info to these lot.

Initially, I answered the call, but there was silence on the other end. When I called back, the chap went on about why I had supposedly hung up on him. He was quite aggressive, which led me to end the conversation. Mere minutes later, another call came through from the same number, followed by yet another attempt. I warned them that I’d involve the authorities if they continued their harassment. Thank goodness it’s been roughly twenty minutes since the last call, and they haven't rung back yet! Honestly, if I were elderly and alone, such behaviour would be utterly terrifying! These individuals are dreadful! Please just ignore the phone; it shows up as an international call!

Terrible connection, and a heavy 'Asian' accent. I couldn’t understand what the bloke was babbling on about. When I asked him to say again who he was (because the line was so poor), he just cut me off. I’ve had this call a few times and usually ignore it, but today I was on a phone that doesn’t show the number, so I picked up. Seems like a complete waste of time. Can you imagine if someone were to hassle you while you’re simply walking down the street? They’d likely find themselves penalised or even locked up! So I just started getting calls from this number today and I’m thinking it might be connected to me listing stuff on Gumtree? Maybe that’s why they act like they know who I am? An Asian gentleman greeted me by name and immediately launched into a sales spiel. I promptly hung up. I've been receiving incessant calls from this number. Often, it’s just silence on the other end. However, today was different-someone finally answered! The caller had a thick Indian accent and had difficulty with English. He didn’t address anyone specifically, just asked for our surname. When I inquired whether it was Mr or Mrs, he responded with Mr and abruptly ended the call upon learning my husband wasn’t available. I’m thoroughly fed up with these calls. I’m seriously considering getting a new phone just to shut them out. It’s outrageous that these kinds of callers can operate without consequences.

Got another call from a man with an Asian accent claiming it was a survey. I told him I don’t do surveys and asked him to take my number off his list. He said he’d keep ringing me until I answered his questions. I’ve ordered a call blocker to try and stop these calls. It wasn't too pricey, £13.33 for three months and then no extra fees. If it doesn’t block the calls, I’m getting my money back.

Got a call from them once more today. I’m signed up with the telephone preference service so calls like this shouldn’t be happening. There was a firm in Swansea that got slapped with a £50k fine for breaching this rule. Fingers crossed this lot get done the same way. Make sure you’re on the TPS, jot down every call’s date and time, and report it to both TPS and Ofcom. Hopefully that’ll sort it.

On 4th Feb 2017, I got a call from a bloke who said he was from Glo Lifestyle, though his accent was pretty hard to catch. Not long after, I got another call from some manager guy who said he was linked to the first caller. We’re on the TPS register, yet these people keep ringin anyway. Dunno what they’re doing with any info they get, but the phone companies ought to step in and handle these phone scammers.
