When I asked about payment, they wanted my bank details to transfer the winnings, but when I suggested a cheque, they said how do I expect to get paid without providing my sort code and account number! Total scam, be careful!

Had no clue who was calling, so I just ended the call as soon as I picked up.

Someone rang asking for Amelia Taylor, no clue who she is, but I could tell straight away it was dodgy since they also txted me at 3am with a link about a Currys prize draw. Didn’t click the link on my phone, waited till I was on my laptop to check it out. I told the caller they were trying to scam me and just hung up.

Got a call early this morning from this number, didn’t pick up since I didn’t know it. It showed as from London area, which seemed dodgy. They didn’t leave any voicemail or follow up call. Feels like one of those scammy calls, so I’ll wait and see if they keep calling like usual scammers do. Going to block and report this number for sure.

He knew my first name but never asked for my last. Said his name was Oliver and asked if I’d got any experience in trading crypto. That’s when I told him to jog on, told him not to ring me again, and ended the call. Best to steer clear, total scam.
