Gets loads of missed calls all the time. I honestly don’t pick up if I don’t recognise the number, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a sales call from someone who was anything but professional. They started by asking if I was over 18, then mentioned the call was being recorded. When I said I wasn’t interested, they just kept going like I wasn’t even there. Got a bit rude when I told them to stop, even swearing at me. I’ve asked to be taken off their list, but they keep calling every couple of weeks. One time it was about an 02 contract, another about winning a prize or doing surveys. They've called me twice already today. Seriously, don’t give out your personal info to these people.

Nice woman called asking if I was over 18 to 80, I said no, then she asked if I'd like to win an iPad 5 or £10,000 in cash. I told her no thanks, I can buy one myself and don’t need money, I'm not struggling. I said it sounded like a scam and she denied it but said thanks for my time, though the call lasted only 47 seconds. Just as she was about to hang up, I told her her fake company are clowns, then she hung up real quick. Bit strange, she didn’t bother confirming who she was or the number she called from.

I've had this number ring me incessantly throughout the day - seriously, it hasn’t let up! First it called at 11:30, then again just a minute later at 11:31. After that, it was at 1:55pm, and believe it or not, it rang twice then! Later on, around 2:50pm, and again at 4:17pm, which was a staggering three times! It's getting quite annoying, to say the least!

Honestly, I reckon if it were something crucial, they’d either leave a voicemail or get in touch by some other method!

If you get calls from live people, be sure to report them to the ICO (assuming you’re signed up with the TPS already). For silent or abandoned rings, you gotta report them on the OFCOM website. Spam callers don’t give a hoot about complaints on here, but they really do get bothered when they’re flagged to Ofcom or the ICO - and it only takes a couple of minutes. Also, if you haven’t registered with the TPS, you’re just asking for trouble. Don’t expect your phone provider to help much either; they’re just happy making money from selling caller ID and charging for call blocking.

Such a hassle - instead of hitting "9" that doesn't really stop them, try pressing "2" which actually just makes them ring again later. What I do is just pick up but say nothing, then I leave my phone near the radio. They usually give up and stop ringing back pretty quick.

dont pick up, its a scam for sure. the lady on the line claimed it was a ‘callback’ but i never got called before. she said she worked for ‘free money savers’ and asked if i wanted to enter a £500 prize draw, then i just ended the call.
