Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from BT Openreach. Said she could 'fix' internet issues and speed it up because of some 'errors'. Wanted me to give her access to my PC, which sounded dodgy to me.

I keep getting calls from a guy with an Indian accent saying he’s from Sky, offering to cut down my monthly bills and mentioning some sim card offers. He then asks me to confirm my email. When I rang Sky directly, they told me not to trust these calls. They keep phoning me even though I keep blocking the number, so now whenever I hear “I’m calling from Sky” I just hang up straightaway and keep blocking them 🚫

I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying that their computer security thing was shutting down and asked if I wanted to cancel. I told him cancellation was alright since I didn’t even know I was signed up to anything. Then, right after I asked what else he needed from me, he just ended the call. Strange experience!

Got a call from some online support claiming they'd refund something I bought three years back. They wanted my credit card details to process it. The lady on the line had an Asian accent. I just blocked the number and deleted it straight away. Wasn't clear at all what they were even trying to say at first. Total scam, so watch out!

A lady with an Asian accent, who identified herself as a representative of an Online Support Company, contacted me recently. She informed me that the company would be shutting down and, as a result, I was entitled to a partial refund for a subscription I never had. Suspicious of her claim, she then requested my debit card details. In order to waste her time and not fall victim to any potential scam, I pretended to search for my card, causing her to wait on the line in frustration. Eventually, I provided her with a false debit card number. Upon realizing the deceit, she abruptly ended the call. As a precautionary measure, I have now blocked the number and reported the incident to ICO (Information Commissioner's Office). Unfortunately, Action Fraud only handles cases where individuals have actually been scammed, so they were not interested in assisting me.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent saying she was from some Online Support Company. She told me they were shutting down and that I could get some refund for a subscription I’ve never even signed up for. Then she asked for my debit card info. I played along, made her wait while I acted like I was digging out my card, then gave her a fake card number. After a while, she just hung up. I’ve blocked the number and reported it to the ICO - Action Fraud said they don’t deal unless you’ve actually lost money.

I got a call from some Indian tech support scammer, ####, trying to pull their usual tricks. I spent a bit telling her how she’s an embarrassment to her own people, and honestly, everyone must be so ashamed of someone like her. She started getting all defensive and angry but then suddenly burst out crying, which was kinda funny tbh. These scammers are such rubbish; they totally deserve whatever comes their way.

Got a call saying I had a subscription from 2019 with some company that’s shutting down and that I was due a refund of £199.99. They asked for my card info to send the money back, but the card I'd used isn’t active anymore. I told them to verify my date of birth instead, since it’s not like it’s recent or anything, then just ended the call!

This guy called himself Alex and claimed he was with Online Support about some subscription I'd supposedly cancelled. When I asked him to be more specific about which one, he seemed to get all awkward. I just ended the call after that.

Beware of scam! A person who identified themselves as Victoria, pretended to be involved in a business wind-up and claimed that I could receive a share of the profits if I provided personal information. This individual mentioned something about a subscription cancellation three years ago. The voice on the other end of the line sounded Asian, but it's important to stay vigilant and not fall victim to such fraudulent schemes. Remember to always protect your personal information.

I got a call from a guy speaking with a strong Indian accent, claiming I could get money back from some insurance policy with a firm "closing down soon". I told him I couldn't find anything about it, and then he passed me onto a lady who sounded the same. She kept asking for my bank details, but I played dumb for ages and eventually she gave up. Honestly, I wasn’t shocked to realise it was most likely a scam.

A caller claiming to be from Online Support Limited got in touch, saying I owed a refund from three years ago - about 55% of some charge. BEWARE OF SCAM! On 20th July 2023 at around 10:23am, my recently closed home landline, which I haven't given out to any companies or service people, rang from 02035-828591. The guy, calling himself "Alex" and speaking with a thick Indian accent, said it was about a refund for an "insurance policy" I supposedly took out on my gadgets. When I pressed for details, he claimed to be from "Online Support Ltd" based in London. I wasn’t having any of it, told him off firmly and ended the call. Definitely label this number as HIGH RISK!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from an internet security company who told me that because of Brexit I was owed some money back. They wanted me to verify the last four numbers on my Visa card, but I refused and ended the call straight away. Then a lady rang again, saying I'd cut off her mate who was helping me get the refund I supposedly deserved. I told her it was a scam and wasn’t having any of it, then hung up. Haven’t had any more calls from them since.

Got a voicemail from 02035828591 but couldn’t make out what they were saying at all because of the loud chaos in the background. It was a woman with a foreign accent I think, then the message just stopped out of nowhere - maybe she figured I wasn’t a real person.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Product Support. They claimed since I had bought from them before, I should get back 65% because they were shutting the business. I wasn’t having any of it and just ended the call.

This was pretty much the same thing I've heard from others - the company thought the online service was shutting down and that I deserved a refund for a subscription I’d bought ages ago. They claimed I was due about 65% back and asked for my card info, which obviously seemed a bit dodgy. I told them my card had actually been stolen and the cops were on the case. After that, she just said she’d call me in a couple of days.

Today, I got a call from 02035828591 saying my subscription supposedly ended after three years and I had to renew it. They also claimed they wanted to refund some money and asked if my card details were still the same. The caller was a foreign woman, but her voice sounded strange and I couldn’t really work out who she was. I hung up and later looked up the number, only to find out it’s a scam.

I got a call from someone with a thick Asian accent saying I was owed money back from a protection plan I'd supposedly been paying for. I asked if he wanted my bank info to sort out the refund, and he said he already had my card details, just needed to check if it was still valid. I ended the call pretty quickly, figured it was a scam. Pretty sure the card number he had wasn’t even real, and he was just trying to trick me into giving him my actual card info. I guess there must be people who fall for this, otherwise they wouldn’t bother with it.

First, a bloke called me about some supposed refund I was owed, then a lady rang too, both asking me over and over to verify my bank info. I got calls from 02035872591 yesterday and then again today. They claimed I was owed a 75% refund on some online insurance because I might have missed a payment. They asked for my bank info and even wanted the last four digits of my card. When I gave them the numbers, they messed up one digit and said it was because card numbers change when you get a new one. I’ve had the same card for over 20 years, so that was obviously rubbish. Definitely a scam, best not to answer if this number calls you.

Got a call from 02035828591, some woman with a foreign accent claiming I had a refund from a tech support firm going into administration. She expected me to just hand over my card info! I told her straight up I knew it was a scam and told her not to bother calling again. What a waste of time!

Somebody phoned me saying they were from Online Support Ltd, telling me they were shutting down and owed me some kind of refund. They did know my name and even my card number which made it seem real at first. But then they kept pushing me to give the three digits on the back of my card. I refused and told them they could give me the money without needing those details, asking them to stop wasting my time. I could tell pretty quick it was a scam so after a bit of back and forth, I ended the call and now I’m blocking the number and leaving a review here.

Got a call from someone saying they were from online refunds regarding insurance on our smart gadgets from like 4 years back. They were really unclear and the information didn’t add up at all. Definitely a scammer, I told them off and plan to report it to the ICO.

02035828591 I got a call from someone called Rachel Jones, supposedly from East London, with a strong subcontinental accent. They were talking about giving me a refund on some electronic gadgets and asked for my credit card info and all. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

A bloke rang up saying I’d supposedly got insurance for gadgets back in 2019, paid with my Visa ending in [four digits], and that I could claim a 65% refund. I just told him cheers for calling but no thanks! Sounds like a complete con, pretty much like loads of people have already mentioned.

I received a call from someone named Victoria, who had a foreign accent and claimed to be from a company called Online Support in London. She informed me that I had made a payment for device protection in 2019 and that their company was closing down. Victoria offered me a 75% refund, but encountered an issue processing it because my original Visa card was not accepting it. She requested that I provide a new card number instead. Suggesting that they send me a cheque since they already had my address, I was told that this didn't comply with their company policy. To determine which types of devices were covered, I asked if they were offering protection for Android or iPhone devices. Upon realizing that their response was incorrect, I questioned their legitimacy and they promptly hung up on me. This encounter clearly demonstrated their attempt to manipulate me into revealing my card details in order to drain my account.

Someone with a strange accent rang me, saying they were from some online support service I'd supposedly signed up for a couple of years back. They told me the company was shutting down and that I could get some money back. I told them to email me the information and then I just ended the call. Something about it felt dodgy, like a scam to me.

I didn’t pick up the call but decided to search the number instead. If you have a look at the good reviews here, they all sound almost the same and seem pretty suspicious, like part of some scam.

They kept referring to my old card that’s not active anymore, and kept pushing me to give them my new card info. I wasn’t thrilled about it, but after I handed over the details, my bank rang me up. Turns out some company was trying to put a refund through. Apparently, I got £160 back on my card.

Got a call about a REFUND scam saying it was for device security my late wife supposedly set up 4 years back. They asked me to verify my visa card details, but I’m quite sure that card doesn’t exist. I told them straight up they’re scammers and ended the call.

I received calls from this person for two straight days. I politely asked them to leave me alone, but they called back and asked why I had spoken to them in that manner. I reiterated my request and promptly blocked their number. My wife also received calls from them two days prior, but she did not provide any further information about the conversation.

Received a message from a company calling themselves 'Online Support Ltd' who claimed to be shutting down their operations. They offered to reimburse me for my 2019 subscription to their 'Smart Recovery Protection Insurance' by refunding it to my credit card. They raised concerns about credit card information being compromised. However, they were unable to provide an email or postal address for correspondence. I advised them to contact me by writing if it was an urgent matter and warned them to cease their fraudulent actions. Recognized this as a refund scam and promptly blocked their communications.

Some bloke called from ‘Online Support Ltd’ saying they were shutting up shop and wanted to give me a refund for some ‘Smart recovery protection insurance’ subscription I supposedly took out in 2019. They asked for my credit card info to process it - which sounded fishy as hell. When I asked for an email or postal address, they just couldn’t give me one. I told them to either send me something in writing or stop wasting my time with these dodgy refund claims. Definitely a scam trying to grab card details. Blocked them straight away.

TOTAL SCAM, they said they were from some online tech support and claimed they were shutting down, offering a refund for some insurance I supposedly took out 3 years ago on my gadgets (which I definitely didn’t). They first asked about the last digits of my card, then tried to get the full number. I just kept them chatting for like 5 minutes until they got annoyed and dropped the call.

Someone called saying they were from Online Support Ltd, claiming they were shutting down and had to issue refunds. They said it was for phone support - both landline and mobile. I kept telling them I didn't have any services with them, but they insisted I did and that I probably just forgot. Then they asked for the last four digits of my credit card without even checking who I was. So I asked them who they thought they were talking to, and they called me Phyllis Newman - totally wrong and I'm a man, not even close to my real name. After that, they just hung up. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from a woman saying their business was shutting down. She mentioned an old credit card number of mine that hadn't been used in ages. I felt a bit iffy about handing over my new card info but after they emailed me, I decided to go ahead. They ended up refunding me around 75% of the £289 I paid. A lady with an Indian accent informed me that I had made a payment for a subscription related to Windows PC and smart devices in 2019. She insisted on refunding me 75% of the money, but unfortunately, the card number I used was not accepting the transaction. She requested that I check if my card details had changed. Surprised, I responded by stating that I use Apple instead of a PC and have never paid for such subscriptions. Curious about how they obtained my information, I posed the question to her. In response, I requested a cheque to be sent instead and assured her that I would now end the conversation. To conclude, I decided it was best to block the number.

Fraudulent phone call: A man with an Indian accent introduced himself as Alex, although it seemed quite unlikely. He claimed that I was eligible for a refund on my credit card due to an unauthorised subscription. However, it was clear that he was seeking my card details. I firmly told him to leave, although my choice of words might not have been particularly polite.

Someone called me, asking for a person who doesn't exist, and claimed that this nonexistent person owes them money. They insisted on knowing my name but refused to share theirs. In response, I suggested that they should consider donating the money they believe they are owed to a charity instead. This suggestion seemed to confuse them, and they told me to stop talking before abruptly ending the call.
