I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone, who offered me some sort of discount. They asked for my email, which I hesitantly entertained, but then things took a turn when they requested my account number and password. That raised all sorts of red flags for me, so I declined to share any sensitive information. They also seemed intent on keeping me on the line longer than necessary. After hanging up, I received a text with a temporary password which I promptly deleted. Just to be safe, I reached out to Vodafone directly and confirmed that the number was definitely not theirs. I've since blocked the caller. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!
