Somebody rang me claiming they were from security about strange stuff going on with my bank account. They tried to ask me some questions to stop anyone stealing money. Even after I said they seemed a bit dodgy, they kept on going. I just cut them off with a quick goodbye and ended the call.

For the past week, I’ve been getting multiple calls daily to my mobile from about 10 different numbers starting with 0203, plus a couple from a Belfast area code. Whenever I answer, they always ask for someone called Peter Wells. At first, I told them to take my number off their calling list but the calls didn’t stop. Today, I asked to speak to a manager and they just ended the call. When I rang back, I got the British Heart Foundation voicemail. Another call I answered said it was about a survey on energy providers.

Got a call from a bloke named "Adam" from Heart Protect - - a bit different from what others have said. He wasn’t bothered when I called him a cold caller, so I guess he’s used to it by now. Must take some serious patience to deal with that kind of crap all day. Fair play to him, but I honestly hope he gets something that stops him passing on his nasty work. Have blocked the number now.

You could always mention that you’re occupied with breastfeeding and unable to chat at the moment; that should deter them from ringing back. Or here’s a cheeky idea-try claiming that you're tangled up in a police probe regarding the individual they're trying to reach, asserting that the person is, unfortunately, deceased, and then throw some wild accusations their way! I know it may not be the most conventional approach, but believe me, it tends to get results.

Seen loads of comments here but when they buzzed me, they claimed I'd bagged 10 free lottery tickets for this Friday and even asked for my info, then pushed for my bank details. Obviously, I gave them a made-up branch name different from my actual bank and ended the call before handing over any card info. Funny thing is, the bloke called me back right away. The bloke who rang was super smooth, even tried to flirt to get my info. No chance mate!!

Got a call from some telemarketer who knew my name. To make things worse, there was this echo on the line like they were trying to trick me into calling back and racking up charges.
