Classic phishing scam. They asked me to verify my email. After a bit of back and forth, I got them to say my actual email, which I then claimed was wrong. They got pretty insistent trying to get the ‘right’ one out of me. I pretended to go along for a while but got fed up and ended the call!

Didn’t realise I’ve got a tech background, so I called him out on his nonsense and gave him a bit of a telling off for trying to scam people. Didn’t take long before he hung up on me. Haha.

I got fed up and told him to stop wasting his time and find a real job instead of trying to scam people who might believe him. He replied with "Jesus Christ" and I joked that even Jesus hasn’t got an Amazon Prime account. Then he hung up. This guy was really rude and kept pushing. Why do these scams never seem to stop?

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon. They said there was a purchase on my account and even knew my name and address. Then they asked me to get online so they could help me get a refund. Sounded dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon about a parcel supposedly sent by mistake to some London address. They wanted me to give my address so they could redirect the package, even though they had no clue where I live. Then they asked me to jump onto my computer to enter some info. I called them out right away as fraudsters and the woman on the other end just started swearing at me. Proper rude! Cheers, Laura x

Got a call saying someone used my card for an Amazon Prime purchase earlier today. The person spoke really fast and it was tricky to keep up, but they were really pushy. They seemed to know stuff about my Amazon account. They wanted me to log in so they could send something to my PC. Asked if my family also uses my card. Definitely a dodgy scam, watch out.

Got a call claiming there was an order from my Amazon account that got sent to the wrong place, it was supposedly a gift card. They wanted me to give my account info so they could "get the money back," but I didn’t share any details with them.

Someone rang me claiming to be from Amazon, saying there’d been an order for a £99 gift card from my account but it was being sent somewhere I didn’t recognise, so they flagged it as suspicious. I told the bloke I’d ring Amazon myself to check, but he just said he’d be in touch soon and that he’d be the one calling me back! Proper dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Amazon, saying there was a purchase of a gift card and asking if I wanted to stop it, but they wanted me to log into my account first. Absolute scumbags trying to scam people. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone named Kevin claiming to be from "Amazon," saying there was a £49 gift card charged to my account. Like others have mentioned on this site, I asked him for his contact number so I could ring back later (he gave me 01249360000). When I checked using 1471, the number that actually called me was 02035456984, which made me realise it was definitely a scam. Strange thing is, there don’t seem to be any reviews about 01249360000 on here.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime, saying there’s a gift card order being made to an address in London. The guy was really pushy and when I hung up, he rang me back! When I asked his name, he said "David Wilson" and wanted to send me some sort of cancellation form. Definitely felt like a scam.

Pretty much like others have said, I got a call from a bloke claiming he was with Amazon. He told me someone had “hacked” into my account and ordered a gift card to be sent to London. His accent sounded Asian, and I could hear loads of people talking in the background like a call centre. I told him Amazon wouldn’t ring me up like that, but he insisted it was legit. Trust me, it’s definitely a scam!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was with Amazon, saying he was ringing me from Leeds. He told me my account had suspicious activity and he could fix it. Insisted he was from the department that handles these things at Amazon. He was pushing me to let him close the account to stop the problem. Said if I had second thoughts I could always call him back. We chatted for around 5 mins and he was pretty persistent, didn’t wanna give up. Definitely felt a bit dodgy.
