To the one who posted on 09/09/2015 about getting a new number but still getting calls, I had the same thing happen. I never shared my new number with anyone apart from close family, but I did call an Indian takeaway once. Then, without fail, the very next day one of these annoying scammers was ringing me up. Seems like the number got passed around somewhere. These idiot scammers seriously need to be stopped.

Got a call on Thursday 3rd Sept around 5.45pm, they were asking for a Miss Mary. Then they switched to Miss Mary L. I told them Mary L. passed away about six years back. They claimed she’d done some survey just a few weeks ago! They then asked who I was, and when I said I’m her son, the line just went silent. Honestly, these calls are really upsetting and quite insensitive.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from Glamorgan Council, asking if I’d been in an accident. I said no, then he asked if any of my family had. When I asked who he was with again, he went quiet. I repeated the question and he said he was deaf! Deaf? On the phone? Then without warning he called me a right idiot and just ended the call. Lovely experience, not!

I got a call from the same bloke, sounded Asian, saying someone in my family had some accident within the last three years. I told him he was ringing a work number, and there’s like 30 people who could pick up. I said he was wasting his time trying to fish for info, especially since I’d already looked up his number online. In the end, I just told him to get lost and stop bothering me.

I got a call today (Sat 12/9/15, around 2:15pm) from a bloke with an Indian accent, going on about some 'accident' I supposedly had. Things got pretty awkward when I refused to answer his questions. By the time it finished, he was actually wishing for me to die within the week and go straight to hell, said it more than once. Sounds like the same nasty fellow someone mentioned in a previous comment. Not the nicest bloke at all.

I got a call from the same number, and the woman said it was about a recent crash, but I haven't had any accident in ages so I figured it's a scam right away. i got a call from what sounded like an indian call centre. they claimed i'd got a personal loan back in 2005. when i asked what it was for, the bloke said he couldn't disclose that info. so i pointed out that if he couldn't give me details, how did he even know i took out a loan in the first place? then he said it had been repaid by 2008. honestly, where on earth do they dig up this stuff, and how can they tell if it's legit or just made up?
