02035405938 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02035405938 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving unauthorised weekly or monthly charges, typically £8-£9, appearing on UK mobile phone bills across multiple networks like Vodafone, O2, EE, and Three. Callers claim these come from competitions or prize draws linked to companies such as BigWin, CoMob, and SocMan, often initiated unknowingly via misleading pop-ups or adverts on social media. Victims report poor responsiveness from mobile providers, who generally block the numbers but initially refuse refunds. The scam exploits legal loopholes about subscription and opt-in confirmations, with many users losing hundreds before realising. Blocking the numbers, persistently disputing charges, contacting PhonePayPlus, and involving consumer adjudicators are common recommended steps. Awareness and caution about clicking unsolicited links or adverts on phones are strongly advised.

Every Saturday for the past month, my husband has noticed a £9 fee on his phone bill. He's really annoyed about it and plans to get in touch with 02 first thing tomorrow. The strange thing is, his phone hasn't shown any calls from this 0203 number, but the bill mentions something called Bigwin. Proper miffed about the whole thing!

This is still going on and vodafone havent done a thing about it. it’s costing me about £9 every week. feels like they’re probably involved or just dont care. honestly, switching providers would save me more money over time. DITCH VODAFONE NOW!

Since April 9th, 2016, this number has been racking up £9 a week on my Vodafone bill, which adds up to around £240 so far. Vodafone aren't willing to refund me for it. Although they blocked the number on December 15th, I kept getting charged until I discovered another number to text "stop all" to. It feels like Vodafone is just helping these scammers get away with it. What can I do now? I reckon it might’ve been my granddaughter when she was staying over.

This number 02033227173 from Big Win tricked me proper. I kept getting texts at silly times like early morning saying I won an iPhone. I’d just delete them straight away with no interest. But over a few months they’ve taken £351 from my account bit by bit! I spoke to O2 about the huge charges and they told me it’s because I never replied “stop” to the messages, so it’s treated like a subscription. O2 said there’s nothing they can do to block it. So I rang Big Win on that number to cancel and asked for a full refund, but never got any reply. Guess they’re making loads of money off people like me. Really annoyed with O2, I’m their customer not Big Win!

I've never given permission for this number to take money from my Vodafone account, yet the withdrawals keep happening despite Vodafone saying they’d stop them on 15/12/2016. So far, it's cost me £256. Honestly, steer clear of Vodafone as they seem to have no grip on managing their customers’ funds. What should I be doing now?

Can't believe how these absolute w#nkers keep pulling this off. Vodafone was charging me £9 every month for weeks without me noticing. Thankfully, I've sorted it now and got my money back. Honestly, would love to confront these useless c#### in person.

I got stung for £50 from this number thanks to unwanted texts. Vodafone says they’ve blocked premium rate calls and texts on my line, but I’m still being charged £4.50 weekly. Turns out, these fees are labelled as Charity Donations, so they don’t count as premium rate stuff. You’ll need to ask Vodafone specifically to block these charity charges too.

Since July, I've noticed a weekly deduction of £9 by this company. I tried contacting the number but ended up reaching a different line: 01567 380029. The person I spoke to explained they handle mobile services and collect payments on behalf of other firms. I mentioned the original 0203 number, and they told me it was linked to a Tesco voucher giveaway that one of my kids possibly joined last July. They said they’ve stopped any upcoming charges. I'm now digging into this to find out when exactly I agreed to the subscription. I guess we'll have to wait and see what comes of it.

Since July, I've noticed a weekly deduction of £9 from this firm. I rang up the listed contact, only to be directed to a different line: 01567 380029. When I called this number, the rep informed me they’re a mobile services company that handles charges for other businesses. I asked about the original 0203 number, and they told me it related to a Tesco voucher contest my kid might've entered months ago, and they’ve now stopped further charges. I’m starting a probe to find out exactly when I agreed to this subscription. Let’s see how it unfolds.

I'm dealing with exactly the same problem with Vodafone. They just don't seem to care and have completely ignored it, like they've given up on sorting it out.

My disabled husband’s Vodafone phone has been getting charged £9 every week for some service we never signed up for, and it’s added up to nearly £200 now! I’ve rung Vodafone three times, and honestly, they’ve been completely hopeless and dishonest. Each call drags on for over an hour and a half with them promising to block the charge and refund us. I called again this evening, and of course, more empty apologies like ‘we should have fixed this by now’ with no action. I’m really at a loss here, feeling desperate. My husband has had three strokes, and the phone was meant for emergencies only - now he won’t even switch it on because of all this stress. We’re pensioners, so this kind of bill is just impossible for us. Any suggestions on what to do next would mean a lot.

Over the past few months, we've lost quite a bit of money to a scam. Since it's my partner's account, I don't usually look at it, but he brought it up just recently. We contacted Vodafone straight away, and they said they'd block the number, but we need to call them back. Trouble is, we can't get hold of anyone on the phone. Vodafone hasn’t been any help so far. Does anyone know what our next step should be? Really need some advice here!

I got conned out of £100 by these lot and never gave them any permission. When I got in touch with Vodafone, all they told me was to block the number, but they offered nothing about getting my money back. It's shocking that this is just happening and no one’s taking proper action.

My twin, who's the complete opposite of me, got scammed. It's disgusting and seriously needs to be put an end to. Feels like there's no help out there for this kind of thing.

We noticed my daughter's phone bill suddenly went way up, so we got in touch with Vodaphone. They said it might be because kids using the internet or something. But then we found out it was this company called Winit Ltd, quietly charging £9 weekly for the past three months. My question is, how on earth did a company she's never heard of start taking money like that? Vodaphone said they can't block it. They say they can't stop it - but how did it even begin in the first place? Bit frustrating if you ask me.

So I looked at my Vodafone bill today and noticed this firm has been taking £9 every week for the past five weeks. I’ve never come across them before and definitely didn’t give permission for anything like that. When I spoke to Vodafone on Live Chat, they told me I’d need to get in touch with the company itself to get the payments stopped and ask for my money back. Vodafone has now blocked premium rate calls on my account, so fingers crossed it stops any more charges. But the weird thing is, their number doesn’t even show up in my call history, so I’m not sure if blocking calls will do much.

So, for about three months now, I've been getting charged £45.36 each month and around £9 every week. I called Vodafone and they told me I need to put in a formal complaint if I want my money back.

Me and my family been with Vodafone for ages and all of us noticed these weird charges popping up, some over £200. I rang Vodafone to ask about it and the customer service person broke down how these scam outfits work. While it’s not really Vodafone’s fault, it’s still a bit unfair what goes on. At least now I get how it happens, but something definitely needs sorting. Big thanks to Vodafone for explaining it all properly to me.

I had a really similar experience. I rang Vodafone a couple of times, but they just kept giving me the runaround. First, they told me to call the number and cancel directly, so I tried about seven times with no luck. When I pressed 1 for a callback, all I got was an automated voice saying no one was available. I rang Vodafone again, and this time they said they couldn’t give me a refund and told me to contact Payphone Plus. I did try a few times, but they were always closed for staff training! Honestly, it was driving me mad. In the end, I phoned Vodafone once more and got through to a lovely lady named Tee. She was brilliant - sorted everything out, cancelled the charges, and refunded my money. I just want to thank everyone here who shared their stories, it kept me going and definitely made me feel less alone in dealing with this scam.

For the last three months, my daughter’s been caught up in a scam by something called the Safari lottery. O2 have taken over £100 straight from her bank, charging about £9 each week, for a ‘prize’ that’s just a phone! She never signed up for anything like this. Phonepayplus say they’ve got records of when she supposedly joined - obviously info that’s coming from the scammers - but she never gave any consent. It feels like these scammers are untouchable. Since there’s no proper law to stop this, I reckon scams like this will only get worse. Honestly, providers like O2 should need your permission before taking cash out for Premium services. Guess it’s back to using a very basic mobile for me now!

My elderly mate just got hit with four separate £9 charges from this number. It's shocking honestly. How is this even allowed? They really need to crack down on this fast. She’s on a tight budget and I’m going to see if I can help her get her money back. My advice to anyone out there - don’t send donations or pay anything like that through your phone. Total rip-off.

I’m in the exact same boat! My last O2 bill came to £36 and then £27 this month, but I never agreed to any of it. I can’t afford these charges at all and I seriously doubt they're legit. When I contacted O2, they just told me there’s no refund coming :( Has anyone got any clue what I should do next?

I’ve just been caught out by the same thing with Vodafone. I ended up contacting SOCMAN, the outfit handling those Winprizes fees, after they charged me £9 a week, totalling £36. Spoke to a couple of their reps but they wouldn’t budge on giving me a refund. They keep insisting I agreed by answering three questions when I honestly never heard of them. They even mentioned the exact time and date I supposedly gave my answers, but I wasn’t even available then, as I was at a family gathering. I complained to PhonePayPlus, but they basically did nothing after checking my complaint. Now I’m stuck trying to get Vodafone to pay me back. It’s mad how these firms get away with this - feels like a rip-off to me.

I realised I was being charged £9 every single week and after spending ages trying to get through to Vodafone, they finally answered but said it wasn’t their problem. They did manage to block the payments though. I called the number 02035405938 and spoke to someone called “Claudia” who told me I must have accidentally clicked on an ad on my internet browser which triggered the subscription. She gave an address as "Suite 73, 95 Wilton Road, London, SW1V 1BZ". When I asked for a refund, they said it wasn’t going to happen. I’m now thinking of contacting Phone Pay Plus to see if they can help but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Went into my bank and saw a massive Vodafone bill on my statement. Got a new iPhone 6se recently, so I knew the charges shouldn't be that high. After checking, noticed I was being billed £9 every week for something. Tried calling Vodafone multiple times, spoke to several foreign call centre agents, each gave me different advice but none of it helped. Weirdly, they all said Vodafone wasn’t to blame, even though they’re the network. The charges started right after I switched to them and got my new phone. Absolutely frustrating. I just want my money back. Cheers, Phil

I noticed four separate £9 fees listed on my Vodafone statement under "Comp 02035405938". After contacting Vodafone online, I had a chat with Piyush which turned out better than expected, and thankfully, they refunded the full amount and blocked all premium services on my line. So, the website they send you to check your receipt actually takes you to http://payforit.impulsepay.com, which is like a middleman company that’s legit and handles the billing but doesn’t get the money itself. From there, they provide a link to http://mobile.wintheprize.uk/. That domain belongs to Identity Protect Limited, a company that seems semi-legit but mostly registers websites to keep who really owns them hidden. Definitely feels like a scam to me. My advice would be to get in touch with Surrey’s Trading Standards, give them all this info, and ask if they can track down who’s behind it and take it further.
