I'm based in Hereford and this morning, I picked up a call from 02035351986. The caller claimed to be with BT, saying they could help me lower my direct debit. When I mentioned that I was actually with Sky, they brushed it off and insisted that it wasn't an issue. I needed to wrap up the call quickly, and suddenly, the line went dead. I didn’t share any personal information with them; I'm quite cautious about scams and have a strict rule against divulging anything to unknown callers.

I received a call from someone claiming they could significantly reduce my phone bill, suggesting that an "overreach" was involved-whatever that means. The first chap spoke at lightning speed, and I struggled to grasp what he was on about before he promised to check the cost of a package for me. Then, a second bloke took over, but the line was all crackly; I could barely hear him, though I did catch him mentioning the need to alter my direct debit information. I firmly informed him that I’m not comfortable sharing my bank details over the phone and suggested they send me a letter instead. After that, I just ended the call.
