I received a rather unsettling call from 020 3529 7457. The voice on the other end was clearly a synthesized one, sounding distinctly American, and claimed to be from HMRC. They warned me of tax evasion allegations and mentioned something about an arrest warrant being issued. How considerate of them to give me a heads-up; perhaps I should start packing my bags for a quick getaway! Total scam, if you ask me.
