These calls come from some call centre abroad, mainly fishing for leads for claims firms and then passing them on. They mostly use a VoIP setup to make the calls - basically, ringing through the internet. This makes it tough to track them down. The good thing for those callers is they’re aware the calls can’t be traced back, so they can ring as often as they like without worrying about harassment rules.

Got a call from this same number today but luckily didn’t pick up. Didn’t know who they were, but after a quick look on some other call-tracking sites, it seems to be linked to something called “Injury Claim Law”. Trouble is, they aren’t listed as a legit law firm with the SRA. Best to just give it a miss. :)

I told them I was injured and then just kept throwing questions back at them to get them to reveal stuff, gave fake info the whole time. When they nearly finished, they said my info didn’t add up. For those using Android devices, here’s a quick way to stop unwanted calls from the same number; First, open your call history. Then, tap and hold the number you want to block. After you see a tick showing it’s selected, look for the bin icon and three vertical dots at the top right corner of your screen. Tap on the three dots, then choose ‘Add to Auto Reject List’ from the menu. Done! That number won’t be able to ring you anymore :)

So, this lot are all about accident claims, ringing you out of the blue trying to rope you in for legal stuff. Lucky for us, since they're UK-based, they've got to follow the Data Protection Act. Best thing to do is pick up the phone and ask them to delete your details from their list.
