Make sure you know who you’re dealing with and your current energy provider. These people are trying to lock you into a two-year deal with a pricey supplier just so they can earn commission. You’ll probably be stuck paying high energy bills for the entire period, no matter what happens with the market. They even lied about Bulb going bust, saying I had to switch, which wasn’t true. After hanging up, they kept phoning non-stop, it was really annoying. I just blocked their number in the end - they’ll say anything to get you signed up, full of scare tactics and false info. The prices they offered were ridiculous and one major company they promote isn’t even based in the UK (registered in Ireland but foreign owned). Honestly, with everything going on right now, the best thing to do is hang tight until OFGEM assigns you a new supplier. If you don’t like the new one then you can move later. Staying put means you’re protected, but jumping ship too soon could cost you loads more.
